LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Colorado Rockies will continue their late-season push to make the postseason as they go for a three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday.

With their 2-0 victory over the Dodgers on Wednesday, the Rockies won their 10th straight game, setting a new franchise record. The streak is also the longest such run in the majors this season.

Colorado remained tied with the Philadelphia Phillies (86-72), just one game behind San Diego (87-71) in the National League wild card race. The Rockies also moved within two games of the NL West-leading Arizona Diamondbacks (88-70) with four games to play.

As the Rockies target their 11th straight win, they will turn to rookie Franklin Morales (2-2, 3.15 ERA), who will look to extend his four-game unbeaten streak. Since surrendering five runs over three innings in the first game of that stretch on September 4, he has tossed 17 consecutive scoreless frames over his next three turns.Included in that streak was his no-decision on Friday in which he yielded just one hit over six innings in a 2-1 victory over the Giants. In his only other career outing against the Dodgers, Morales did not factor into the decision despite yielding just one run over 5 1/3 innings in his major league debut on August 18.

The Dodgers, who have lost nine of their last 10 games, will look to break out of their funk when they ask Esteban Loaiza (1-3, 8.53) to take the mound. Since starting out his Dodger career with a win, the righthander has dropped three consecutive decisions, including Friday's 12-3 loss to Arizona in which he permitted six runs and five hits over four innings.

In 10 lifetime starts and one relief appearance against Colorado, Loaiza is 4-3 with a 6.28 ERA.
