QUOTE

The Big Three wave has certainly swamped the box office, with a stop recently put on full season ticket packages, according to team president Rich Gotham. Gotham said the team's season ticket base has grown by 40 percent this summer, with season tickets accounting for approximately 80 percent of available seating. Vice president Shawn Sullivan said no game has more than 1,000 tickets remaining. Three hundred $10 seats will be sold the night of each game. -- Boston Herald

Great sign. When a player helps pay for himself through means like this, gives the club additional resources to go after players.

Not to be a jerk, but it's not like the Celtics had high number of season ticket holders.

No surprise there, the Celtics go from being the worst team in the NBA to being a championship contendor on paper at least. Of course ticket sales will go up.
