    in New England?

They were talking before the game about the new field in Foxboro. Normally, it takes 6 months to put in the Field turf but Kraft got it put in in 8 days?

I guess Dale was right... see post #3

There is no rule regarding the changing out of the turf mid season... There will be next season.

It used to be that the RAIDERS lead the league in causing rule changes. The cheaters in New England are challenging the RAIDER dominance in another category.

Its not so much that it was done but the timing. Not only did they rush the installation, but, it was after 2 home loses.

At least they have grass. Yesterday they said USC shaved the field so short to have a fast track that at some places there was no grass but just painted over.

The field was a mess. In between the hashes was essentially dirt & the outside of the field was very choppy. Both teams have to play in the same conditions so I don't see how this is "cheating"?

Since it's the Patriots home field, the Patriots would have more time and access to the field to prepare for it's horrible conditions. I'm sure the Patriot equipment managers had a better idea of what kind of cleats held better on the field. Also, a bad field, as long as it isn't a total quagmire, favors offenses since it makes it more difficult for defensive players to react to cuts being made by offensive players. It seems to me that the Patriots are a stronger offensive team while the Bears are stronger on defense. Need me to clear anything else up?

Oh please you act as if this the 1st time any1 has changed a field surface mid season. If you did your homework you'd know that it was the Colts, Bill Polian who 1st expressed concern about the field conditions leading up to their game here.

I can't spend all my time keeping up with the Patriots cheating. I have a life!

I really don't think this is that big of a deal. If they were changing to a new type of field, that would be one thing, but running on field turf is fairly common. Fortunately field turf is also fairly uniform from one stadium to the next, so I don't see there being that much of an advantage.

From an injury standpoint, I think this sort of thing should actually be encouraged. The field was a mess before this game which could lead to more injuries - field turf is generally more friendly to athletes.

If there is any advantage, IMO, it would be to the defense. New field turf is a bit softer as it takes some time to compact - offensive players will be a bit slower on this surface.

Let me clarify, What I meant by Dale is right. It seems that whatever the New England franchise wants they get.

I just find it interesting that field was changed after 2 home loses to conference foes.

Are you sure about that? Because you seem to spend an awful lot of that time finding ways to diminish any semblence of accomplishment by your rivals from the north. The dynasty isn't over! The sooner you realize that the better.

    You are being humble, right?

What I realize and know is that the only thing constant is change.

There were complaints about the field conditions long before those 2 loses. They tried repairing it several weeks ago, but it was beyond repair. You're trying to manufacture some sort of conspiracy & that's really sad. Why don't you tell how you're still thankful that Saban chose CPep over Brees?

I don't think the Patriots are going to win this year's Super Bowl even with all the strings being pulled by the League behind closed doors, however I don't want to be found guilty of underestimating the Patriots' capacity for cheating so maybe the "dynasty" isn't over. I just wonder how many "football move" interpretations it will take to get the Pats to the Super Bowl.

Are you so desperate that you have breath life into that argument yet again for the millionth time. At least, it takes creativity & some degree of mental prowess to manufacture a conspiracy.

And if you are not down w/ that....
