Pennington looks to lead the New York Jets back to .500 onSunday when they visit the banged-up Bills in an AFC Eastcontest.


The veteran quarterback shook off an ankle injury last week topass for two touchdowns and run for another as the Jets recordedtheir first win of the season with a 31-28 victory over theMiami Dolphins.


Returning to the lineup after missing the previous game againstthe Baltimore Ravens, Pennington posted modest numbers,completing 15-of-22 passes for 124 yards. But he had successrunning the Jets' no-huddle offense.


Leon Washington returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown,while Thomas Jones enjoyed a break-out game, rushing for 110yards on 25 carries.


This week, Pennington and the Jets look to exploit a reelingBuffalo team which is coming off a pair of lopsided losses andhas been decimated by injuries.


After suffering a last-second 15-14 loss to the Denver Broncosin their season opener, the Bills have been outscored, 64-10, inback-to-back losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and New EnglandPatriots.


The Bills rank last in total defense, allowing 458 yards pergame.


In last week's 38-7 loss to New England, Buffalo lostquarterback J.P. Losman and rookie middle linebacker PaulPosluszny.


Losman sprained his left knee during the first series againstthe Patriots and is expected to be sidelined for two weeks.

Posluszny broke his left forearm and became the Bills' thirddefensive starter to be placed on the season-ending injuredreserve list.


The Bills and Jets split their two meetings last season witheach winning on the road.
