This is the lowest point in the history of the Detroit Lions in my opinion. Everything about this team is horrible. They have no heart and no soul. They just made Joey Harrington look like the next Joe Montana. I see no hope anytime soon. Just a pathetic game. They have embarrased themselves on National TV today. I bet a lot of people turned the channel today. Thank god the next few teams that play on Ford Field actually play the game the way it was meant to be played. High School championships Friday and Saturday. Disgusting display today and this rant from life long diehard Lions fan. I just hate bad football and this was football at it's worst. This team will finish 2-14. Ok I am done now. I just hope the Turkey stays down.:reallysick:

What no Congrats? No being the bigger man? I didn't expect you to do a 180 but still... Its not the lowest point in Lions "History" but I'd be "willing to bet" its a definitely a new high in lows for you on this site.
You showed up, and that earns you some props....this will turn out to be the best thing that could happen for them this year because Matt Millen cant survive this....

The Fords are blindly loyal to who they hire. I expect they'll keep Millin two more years to give Marinelli what they think is a fair shot. I haven't attended a Lions game since Wayne Fontes was fired. Here's a snipit from the last Thanksgiving day game I was at in 1995. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>1995 - A record-breaking offensive explosion paved the way for a 44-38 win over Minnesota. The Lions? gobbled up 534 yards of total offense and QB Scott Mitchell (30-45 for 410 yards and four TDs) set records for most passing yards in a game and most completions and attempts in a season. And for the first time in club history, three players eclipsed the 100-yard mark in receiving yards -- WR Brett Perriman with 12 receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns, WR Johnnie Morton with seven catches for 102 yards and a touchdown, and WR Herman Moore with eight grabs for 127 yards and a score.</div>

He is the worst executive in the history of time. Not just for sports. Enron hired better accountants than millen picks football players
That was a good game. I was rooting for the Phins. I though that if the Phins did win the Lions fans can shut up. Just, we have to deal with the Phins fans now. I also would like to say, Do Sig bets even count up in Michigan?

I really think the Ford's would keep Millen just to give Marinelli three years. That's how they've always operated. They have one of the best stadiums in the NFL and there's been a sellout in every game since it opened. The franchise is actually one of the more valuable in the league. The $$$ is rolling in for the Ford's. Hell they're paying Mariucci 5 million this year and next. The Cubs are my favorite N.L. team so I'm used to this type of thing.

Cubs win it all!
We suck... I won't watch another game for the rest of the year and I won't watch next year either unless there are some serious changes to this roster... The good news is that we are in prime position to draft Quinn... (probably not so good for Quinn given our history of destroying players)

Really? I had not heard that.

Either we destroy players or we are cursed... I completly agree with overhauling the FO, but I will believe that only when I see it... The fans in Detroit are so frustrated by this team that we have shown up in the opposing teams colors... I don't think you can send a clearer message to someone than that... Still not only was there no change they gave Millen a 5 year extension!!!! The sad thing is that, that passion that drove fans to do that is gone and has turned to apathy... Even the "Fire Millen" chants were weak on Thanksgiving... Personally, as a punishment the league should take away the Thanksgiving game from the Lions for such poor performances year in and year out for over a half a decade... It pisses me off that this organization has been run into the ground so epicly...

I mentioned Karma in the "Harrington sticks it to Lions thread" After some of their tactics yesterday, Are these attempta @ mind games common? Have they blown up in the organizations face? Zack mentioned the Fords being blindly loyal? IYO, is this part of the problem? You mentioned being in prime position to draft Quinn. Why? Have they given up on Orlovsky?

I really think that they want to win, I just think that they are clueless... Since Ford has owned the team I think we have won only 40% of our games (don't quote me on that but I know it is a losing record)... Lets just say that it is no surprise that this organization is going down hill. After all look at Ford Motor Company... Yes, mind games are common. Since, Millen's inception they have been abundant... Millen was retarded enough to call Jonnie Morton a "Fag"... Ridiculous... But chances are you have already seen my other thread about the day I have been waiting for forever... MILLEN FIRED!!!!! All I know is that Martz does like Orlovsky alot and if he is still there than I believe our pick will be Joe Thomas and I would be ok with that because of his track record. If he is somewhere else then it has to be Quinn IMO... This franchise has never had a franchise QB and I believe that Quinn can be that guy... Just my opinion...

Martz was a great move for Detroit. #8 in passing offense, and Roy Williams is currently sitting atop the receivers list. Now, the rumor that Millen is gone. The head coach is a defensive guy, who was responsible for getting Kitna and Williams on this team? Yes, they need more defense, and Matt Millen is also a defensive guy. I just wanted to point out that there is a silver (and honolulu blue) lining to all of this.

I do believe he has done a few good things (Martz), but in the end the bad FAR outweighs the good...
