Anyone else hear this rumor? He doesn't stick anywhere long.

I seriously doubt it would be true though, he'd be a good fit but I think he's already deep into building the Dolphins back up again.

Iv'e also heard names like Barry Alvarez thrown around, I seriously doubt that as well.

Had not heard the rumor of Nick to the Canes. I did Michigan St wanted Saban back.

Better to be on the move than outwear your welcome. Cough Millen cough.

(Former Cane Co-ord) Schiano said he has no plans to leave Rutgers.

UM Pres Shalala was at UW w/ Alavarez. I doubt Barry gets back into caoching but will advise Shalala on who to hire & it ought to be current Canes Def Co-ord Randy Shannon.

Barry Alvarez retired from coaching so he could focus more on being the Athletic Director at Wisconsin. He would be a great hire for the Canes but I don't see him leaving Wisconsin ever unless the NFL were to come calling.

I heard that Steve Spurrier a runner. Rumor was he was going to buy out from SC and go to Miami. Nothing but speculation.

I read somewhere Spurrier wasn't interested in the 'Cane job.

But if Saban takes the UM job, he couldnt steal all of Matt Millen's garbage, turn it into gold, and stuff it up his powder blue ass....I think he likes doing that too much to leave the NFL....

I'm sure he's having a ball over paying for Matt Millen's failed draft picks. I've watched a few of his press conferences, looks like a losing record in Miami is a real scream for Nicky Boy. LMAO!

Nah, the lions failed Joey Harrington, not the other way around. Harrington was expected to step in and work miracles on a terrible franchise, which was more than anyone can do, really. Joey shouldn't have been drafted that high by the Millen in the first place.

Miami and Detroit have only one thing in common, they have both had JH on their team. However, these are two teams headed in opposite directions.

Overpaying? Harrington is owning in the past month. He's the only QB in the league to have any success against the Bears D and he ripped Detroit on Thanksgiving for a nice bit of revenge. Millen's failure has been Saban's success.

i'm not sure why Saban would ever leave Miami right now hes doing a pretty good job and I'm not sure why a sucessful NFL coach would leave their team for a college job. It seems like its usually the other way around.

    Not to mention Andre Goodman.

Though, its not fair, The Lions now have Jamal Fletcher. [IMG]

I dont think Saban would want to leave a good nfl coaching job for miami. Maybe if he was about to get fired he would consider, but miami is starting to turn the corner this season

I'm not an economist but thought being in demand was a good thing.
