Here's a great site that shows vintage football cards. If you're interested in collecting your favorite teams cards just page down and click on your team. This site is a good place to view the cards issued as far back as 1950. I own most of the Lions cards from 1950-1980. It's a fun hobby. http://www.footballcardgallery.com/
Thanks - I'll have to check it out. I used to be big into it when I was younger, but it seems that the industry kind of killed itself a little and I haven't been keeping up.

I remember as a kid how cool I thought it was to see any cards older than 1971. Now I can get all I want! My wife thinks it's a bit nuts. Here's a 1971 Walt Garrison
I was really into cards as a kid....I got my 1st when i was 8 years old....for Christmas I was given a set of Topps 1986....to this day, some of those cards are my favorites....over the years, my collection grew to about 20,000....the last time I bought a card was 1995, so all my cards are atleast that old....when I met my wife, she didnt know what to think about it....I could tell she wasnt thrilled that I had them....after I explained to her that a lot of them were worth money, she still wasnt too happy a grown man still had all his cards from his youth and wasnt about to part with them....then I told her that I would never sell them, that they were the birth right of my 1st son if I ever had one....that did the trick....so now they move with us when we move....I take them out some and look at them, but not like I used too....my son is 5 now....I havent decided when I will turn them over to him, but Im thinking around 15.... BTW, 1985 Topps was a good year to start a collection....among the rookie cards that I still have: You would be hard pressed to find that many Hall of Famers, or eventual Hall of Famer Rookie Cards in one set....
You can actually still buy the tops 1990 set.. but they have removed all emmitt smith rookie cards and the other great rookies from that year
