Here is the Celtics.com Media Day press release:

QUOTE

WALTHAM - Ringling Brothers typically brings the circus to Boston in early October, forcing the Boston Bruins to hit the road at the beginning of their season. But the Boston Celtics have their own three ring circus this year, and it stopped in Waltham Friday before taking their show on the road to Europe.
So what did we learn at Media Day? There weren't any startling revelations - think Super Bowl media day with far fewer reporters and less dumb questions. But a few things were brought to light in the three-hour session at The Sports Authority Training Center at HealthPoint. Perhaps most telling is the idea that Celtics jerseys are made of a higher quality fabric than those of other teams around the NBA, an assertion levied by both Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett.
Speaking of Allen and Garnett, if there's any obvious theme emerging between the new guys, it's that along with Paul Pierce, they are all reluctant to be singled out and prefer to be featured together as a troika, whether its when they delivered their introductory presser to kick off the day's activities or while shooting some B-roll footage for TNT.
They spent quite a bit of time interviewing together for WEEI's The Big Show, and joked that they've done so many photoshoots and commercials that they can't tell the difference between one or the other, and laughed about the fact that the media was recording them doing other interviews.
While the three guys definitely have their own presence that seems a bit larger than life, it's not just fans and media that feel it. Glen Davis told reporters about the first day he walked into the locker room and saw Garnett, and noted that he had to calm himself down after seeing Allen in He Got Game and Garnett exploding out of basketballs in Gatorade commercials.
That fact isn't lost on Allen. He talked about making an effort to make younger players feel comfortable around him in the same way that his older teammates did when he broke into the league.
Comfort. That's another theme of the day, because multiple photo shoots and rapid-fire interviews aren't always the most comfortable situation for players, no matter how many of these things that they've been through. Tony Allen swayed back and forth while re-answering the same questions about his left knee rehab, and started reading off reporters' nametags to break the monotony.
If it wasn't already obvious at his introductory press conference, we also learned again that James Posey is one of the more soft-spoken players in the league. Posey had a little trouble remembering his lines while cutting TV promos for ABC and ESPN, but he certainly wasn't the only one.
Meanwhile, the blogosphere had a pretty strong presence in Waltham - representatives from fansite Celticsblog.com and a site known as "Perkisabeast.com" were both in the house, not to mention a few collegiate media outlets as well.
We'd give you quotes in this story, but honestly, you'll see most of them in major publications and websites around the region tomorrow, so why bother? Media Day rarely generates any actual hard news; it's more akin to the classic photos of the trucks loading up equipment on Yawkey Way for the trip to Florida you see every spring. And that reminds me, it's time to pack for two weeks in Europe.
But seeing that truck gets you excited about baseball, and Media Day has a similar effect on Celtics Nation.

Audio: Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce press conference Audio: Doc Rivers press conference
Also of note: Greg Dickerson reported that Kendrick Perkins is down to 268 lbs. That's amazing, and around a 20-pound difference. Want proof?

Way to go, big fella!
This post will continually be updated as new images, audio, and articles are released.
