<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><font size="3">Brendan Haywood is still a member of the Washington Wizards and Eddie Jordan is still the team's coach. </font></p> <font size="3"> What happens when training camp opens in Richmond on Tuesday is anyone's guess.</font></p> The relationship between player and coach appeared to be shattered beyond repair following the Wizards' season-ending loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. After failing to get off the bench, Haywood stalked to the locker room, ripped off the nameplate above his locker and left Verizon Center without comment.</p> Later, according to multiple league sources, Haywood considered demanding a trade. However, such a deal never materialized as team president Ernie Grunfeld concentrated on re-signing free agents DeShawn Stevenson and Andray Blatche rather than making a drastic change to his team's roster.</p> That left Haywood and Jordan stuck together.</p> Again.</p> Star guard Gilbert Arenas, who is one of Haywood's best friends on the team, said Haywood recently joined teammates in Washington for informal workouts following a clear-the-air meeting with Jordan and new assistant coach Randy Ayers. The meeting took place near Haywood's offseason home in North Carolina earlier this month.</p> <div style="margin-bottom: 4px; padding-right: 10px; float: left;" id="inline-ad"> <div></div> <script> if ( show_doubleclick_ad && ( adTemplate & INLINE_ARTICLE_AD ) == INLINE_ARTICLE_AD && inlineAdGraf ) { placeAd('ARTICLE',commercialNode,20,'',true) ; } </script><iframe width="336" scrolling="no" height="280" frameborder="0" src="http://ad.doubleclick.net/adi/wpni.sports/inlinead/wizards;A=1;D=1;C=1;C=4;C=12;E=CAIFC;F=74;G=2;S=25;S=245;B=11;B=59;B=99;B=110;VS =3;dir=wizardsnode;dir=sports;dir=wizards;heavy=y;;pos=ad20;ad=bb;sz=300x250;rs=j 10001;rs=j10002;rs=j10023;rs=j10054;rs=j10068;rs=j10128;rs=j10134;rs=j10236;rs=j1 0240;rs=j10257;rs=j10295;rs=j10298;rs=j10324;rs=j10328;rs=j10330;fromrss=n;rss=n; poe=no;page=article;cn=yes;pnode=technology;tile=5;wpid=sportswizards_ar200709280 2119;%21c=intrusive;ord=283409264437258660?" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"></iframe> <script language="javascript"> </script></div> "Eddie went down there to talk to Brendan because at first, Brendan was like, 'I'm not coming to' " Washington for pre-camp workouts, Arenas said. "But they talked and Brendan's been here for the last two weeks. Whatever they talked about, it brought Brendan back."</p> While addressing the media yesterday, Jordan wouldn't reveal details of the conversation but said he's ready for a fresh start and expects Haywood and Etan Thomas to once again compete for the starting center position during camp and the preseason.</p> "It's the same as last season," Jordan said about the competition, which has included at least three altercations on the practice court or in the locker room. "Nothing's been decided."</div></p> </p> </p> http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...7092802119.html</p> Very nice that they've worked it out, but I know this doesn't mean Haywood will have a smile on his for the entire season. If Etan Thomas gets the start at the beginning of the season, Brendan will probably keep his mouth shut, but you know he will always think otherwise.</p>
This is terrific news, these two couldn't stand each other at the end of the season. Haywood brought pretty damn good defense to the table and some nights wasn't too shabby at scoring in the post. Personally, I'd like to see Brendan get to start the season because of how succesful the Wizards were when Haywood was starting.</p>
You were all over Etan Thomas' nuts last year...and we had that discussion whether you were hopping around from Haywood to Etan and you said it yourself that liked Etan more.</p>

Ridiculous? You did it about 3 times last year. When Thomas got the start, you supported it. When the Wizards had that nice run after Haywood got the start over the injured Thomas, you supported Haywood and finally the last part of the season when Thomas started, you supported it again. I asked you about it the same time when Haywood started bitching late in the season and you said you've always supported Thomas.</p>
Okay, you're lying. I never even spoke to you until this past April. Go find the conversation, stop making things up.</p>

It was either you or Zards that hopped like crazy(not surprised if it was both of you) and how could I have a convo saved from April?</p> </p>

Also, I never said anything about finding a convo in April. I never spoke to you until April, therefore you saying that I supported Etan when he got the start last November doesn't make sense.</p> </p>
