    1. Stock up on draft picks by trading Moss and any other older vets who want out.

    2. Hire some real coordinators.

    3. Try to lure Ron Wolf out of retirement.

    4. Draft a QB of the future.

Walter could win the Pac-10 with this Raiders team. Remember, these o-linemen were All-Americans in college.

i think get a QB for the future is a big #1 thing... trade and get a lot of value for Moss would be good for them, the defense needs help as well

Easily. USC would be trouble, but I think they could take them by 2 touchdowns

    1. Trade Moss

    2. Trade Porter

    3. Re-sign key Defensive players, after clearing up Caproom from the last two guys(although im not sure how big the cap hit for either is though).

    4. Draft QB of the future, some guys that would fit in for the Raiders, Brady Quinn wouldent look good in a Black and Silver uniform, they need a QB with some Attitude.

    5. Get some real offensive linemen!

    1) I was reading the Oakland Tribune today, and sports page 2 had the big question, "Should the Raiders trade Randy Moss for a 3rd round pick?" Underneath, were several responses from readers, and a poll result. 70% yes, 30% no. The reader responses were wide ranging. From "Hell, no, he's worth at least a 1st rounder plus a player," to "I would trade him for a bag of Doritos, but they must be Cool Ranch flavor," and even, "Just can him." We have seen what Moss is capable of when he shows up to play. I think that Oakland could get at least a second rounder for him, as he can step in and change an entire offense and alter opposing defensive game plans around him. A few years ago while in Minnesota, there were teams that were completely powerless to stop him. I think that makes him worth something more than a 3rd rounder to one of the 31 prospective buyers around the league.

    2) Everyone is under contract next season for the defense. This is probably the only good news that I can report. I hesitate to promote Rob Ryan to HC though. I say let him be coordinator a bit longer before they make that decision. He just turned the defense around in a big way, but I still want to see what he will do about stopping the run consistantly, especially with the likes of LJ and LT meeting twice each year. Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

    3) Porter has been drama queen for much longer than Shell's 2nd stint. I say get whatever they can for him. He is ready for it, and the Raider Nation wants it too. Get some value for him and get other help on offense.

    4) This one is going to likely take care of itself since Shell is now gone.

    5) Lamont Jordan is my only concern here. I would like to see him healthy and back next season, but his cap price may be to high.

    6) Just about any change would be an improvement here. I hope they don't address that with the #1 pick though. Once bitten, twice shy they say.

Its a shame then that Moss didn't play for the phins under Wanny & Spielman... thats about what they would have wanted as compensation.

I'm saying that after 3 seasons, he has not lived up to his dollar amount, that is for sure. He's been compared to the type of bust that once was Tony Mandarich, but in a different way. Unlike Mandarich, he's not coming out of college and heading into steroid withdrawl. He's just not as good as everyone had scouted him out to be, far from it, actually. Art Shell and Jackie Slater tried to teach these guys different blocking techniques. Apparently, they stayed home from school that day.

The Raiders are in a shit hole, they probly cant get anything good for Randy Moss or Joey Porter because teams dont want players that dont have worth ethic, except for the Bengals who could probly give up a 2nd rounder to get both.

They need a miltary drill sergant like coach that wont take shit, like Bill Cowher. That defense is very underated and next year all those young guys will have experience. Do what the bears did 2 years ago, get a good free agent player like Mushin Muhammad, that the QB can trust and then draft all offensive players.

What about Randy Moss for Matt Schaub??????? Vick needs more targets and Schaub is on the bench.

That makes zero sense. There is value for both. Don't disrespect yourself so much. As far as the work ethic, that is enough reason to move them, yes.

I disagree with this. I think you could trade down for Joe Thomas or Levi Brown. I look at the Lions. I think they past on Leinart and Cutler because of the fear Harrington put into them. It hasn't really worked out for them at all. I would say if Oakland really feels Thomas is the guy or Brown then trade down and take em.

With that said. I think Jamarcus Russell is their guy unless they hire Mike Martz. Then I think they go with Brady Quinn whom would fit in there nicely.

Based on which part you quoted me on, you are disagreeing with me that they should take a lineman at the #1 pick. You really aren't disagreeing with me when you say "I disagree with this, they should trade down and get that lineman" It now becomes very unclear as to WTF you really mean. It appears that you actually agree with me.

Can you clarify what you really mean? I am interested in hearing your opinion.

I don't think this is something that could be fixed in just one season. You mind as well start from the beginning with a QB first round and younger players in the draft and actually have a coach they can stick with for a while. And try to lose those dead weight (Moss, Porter, etc.) in exchange for quality players or draft picks. Rebuild and rejoin the battle for AFC West in like two-three years.

FLORIDAPACKER said it best They need someone who would look good in Silver and Black, and a guy with attitude. What better than a 6'6 250+lbs. avg. to good mobility, First team all-SEC (over "heisman canidate" and Nat'y champ Chris Leak) who can throw the ball through the uprights from his knees!!! oh by the way, he does this from the 50 Yard line. (he would be throwing to Randy Moss) Who am I talking about you ask??? Look no further than the man below

    i got a couple things.
trade moss for another first round pick or a decent reciever and draft brady qiun. That kid is suriuosly working his ass off for that no.1 pick, i heard he had surgery on his eye so he could see the field better.
