No Way! 1st the Raiders would be stupid to trade moss when they are about to get an incredible QB.
2nd There is no way Quinn goes #1 over JaMarcus. JaMarcus has led LSU to wins over top 25 teams like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Tenn., Arkansas, (overrated) Notre Dame. Quinn lost to USC anumber of times. and USC's DEF is avg. compared to the SEC defenses. Quinn never had a win over a great team. JaMarcus is 6/5 1/2, 265, semi-mobile, can throw the ball 83 yards, get it to a receiver quicker than Favre in his prime. JaMarcus is the clear #1.

And 3rd.... Quinn is not working hard, he backed out of the senior bowl, and the NFL combine. That calls his competitiveness into question.

the only upside of quinn is his college coach.

And the guy who had eye surgery was Dwayne Bowe WR from LSU. and it was 2 years ago.

The slandering of Russell has begun I read somewhere that allegedly he has let himself go and has a poor work ethic.

All of what CU says about BQ is true. He is a system QB. He'd fit great w/ the Pats (shocking, eh).

I don't know if he does an Aaron Rogers impression. Weis told Crennel to draft Brady so if Cleveland doesn't the freefall might commence.

The only reason they are saying JaMarcus is "letting himself go" is because he gained 10 lbs. it doesn't matter how much he weighs, no one is going after his speed.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BJames1156)</div><div class='quotemain'>FLORIDAPACKER said it best They need someone who would look good in Silver and Black, and a guy with attitude. What better than a 6'6 250+lbs. avg. to good mobility, First team all-SEC (over "heisman canidate" and Nat'y champ Chris Leak) who can throw the ball through the uprights from his knees!!! oh by the way, he does this from the 50 Yard line. (he would be throwing to Randy Moss) Who am I talking about you ask??? Look no further than the man below</div>
Don't fall for hype. I could careless if a QB can throw a football 75 yards while upside down in the lotus position. Arm strength is one of the most overrated qualities people look at when judging a QB. If you don't believe me, ask Jim Druckenmiller, if you can find him. Give me a QB that has enough arm strength to make all the throws that an NFL QB needs to make, but I'll sacrifice a cannon for accuracy and consistancy. Did anyone hear any of these "throwing the football 85 yards into a tornado while doing a cartwheel" legends about Joe Montana? Bob Griese? Tom Brady? Warren Moon? Troy Aikman? Michael Vick has a stronger arm than all of these guys, but he's a crappy QB that can't throw the ball accurately or consistantly enough to get his team into the playoffs. When looking at Russell's college stats, what stood out to me is that he had a good TD to Int ratio and his completion % rose each year to a sparkling 67% his senior yard. That's what people should be talking about.

Regarding Quinn, did you not see the shape he was in at the combine? Not working hard? That's a load of crap. He didn't participate in the Senior Bowl. I'm not sure I would put my body on the line in an exhibition game right before I was going to try and sell myself to an NFL franchise. He didn't participate at the combine. Big Deal. I heard that he has two pro days coming up and I don't blame him for not parcipating. He should show himself in the best light possible and that means having a workout set for him specifically rather than being hurded like cow in an enviroment that isn't designed to make him look his best. The combine is for guys like Jay Cutler whose stock isn't very high as he would like, so he takes a shot at catching someone's eye which he did last year. Speaking of Cutler, maybe we should give Quinn some credit for the competitiveness that he showed in lifting against his agents advice and beating Cutler's impressive showing by a rep this year.

Oh so thats why everyone is questioning his competitiveness. guess that makes sense.

Don't worry all you guys don't need to remember this, I will remind you when JaMarcus does better than Quinn.

Hands down can you say Quinn is a better athlete than Russell? Or can you say Quinn is better.
Does no one realize that Quinn would have not gotten a shot in the SEC (over reacting) But he would have done alot worse if ND was in the SEC.

Russell is bigger, stronger, has more accuracy, gives a team a bigger chance to win. Russell is a better QB.

I don't think we can say who is better!! lets look at facts Akili Smith to Tom Brady compare the 2 they would say hands Down Akili was the better prospect.. But Brady is the best choice.. Noone can say who is better since we don't know for sure.. I like ND and Quinn... But i would rather go with russell

Well thats college this is the Pro's Completely different level of competition!!! I think Quinn can be a very very good QB at the Pro level But has to be in the right system.. Russell Is a big guy who would be hard to bring down.. he has mobility.. Russell reminds me of a black Rothlesberger.. Big body with good vision

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>They didn't show much of JaMarcus Russell's personal workout on the evening news Wednesday. But they showed enough.

The first clip showed Russell dropping back, stopping, flicking his wrist, and sending the football sailing across time and space as if propelled by an anti-matter warp drive. It was evocative of an NFL Films shot -- dreamy slow motion, a moment in time extended, a football spiraling into the endless mists of eternity, having slipped the surly bonds of earth.

Except that in Russell's case, it was actual speed. Seriously. The ball just kept sailing and spinning, spinning and sailing until finally, what seemed like hours later, dive-bombing into the outstretched hands of a receiver.

The next clip showed the hulking Russell rolling right and flipping another pebbled brown laser into the next dimension. Then Russell was shown running the 40-yard dash, crossing the finish line a few feet from where new Raiders coach Lane Kiffin was standing, and ....Well, what more do you need to see?</div>
