That sucks. I was hoping they would show it on ESPN Classics. No NBA TV for me, either.

Isn't the game where Kidd won it and then did the 2-and-2 with his fingers to the Boston crowd?

I think this is the series during which Kidd averaged a triple double; maybe even for the first time in a playoff series.

Some quicky thoughts after watching the last quarter and a half:

--the nets had no offensive flow.

--They were a superb defensive team. Most notably, they rotated VERY quickly on defense.

--Kidd was pretty dominant. The second best Net? Aaron Williams. On every play, he was sprinting around the court, drawing charges, blockng shots, taking pressure shots. He was very, very mobile.

--The third best Net was Lucious Harris.

--Kittles played well for about 90 seconds. KVH played well for about two minutes towards the end of the fourth quarter. Other than that, they were pretty invisible. I think Kenyon took two shots and did absolutely nothing. RJ played in the third quarter and made a couple of turnovers and missed some free throws.

--So Aaron Williams was the second-best player. A 6'9" vagabond used at center. What he brought to the team was mobility, quickness, and fearlessness. It was Aaron Williams that was playing center down the stretch, not Todd Mac or Jason Collins. The Nets could really use someone like that from the center position. Benson could do that.

KVH scored six straight points in less than a minute with under two minutes to go: a foul shot, a three-pointer and a driving one-hander. He had a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards. That counts for more than "played well for 90 seconds".

Everything else I agree with. The game was ragged. KMart's shot selection was abysmal and Pierce dominated him. Williams and Harris were totally clutch. It was one of the greatest games in Nets' NBA history, if not the greatest game, up til that point. If they don't win that one, they are down 3-1 and psychologically devastated after losing two double digit leads back to back.

Other than those three possessions, KVH was totally invisible if not for his socks. He didn't handle the ball on offense and didn't get any rebounds. [according to the stats, somehow he ended up with ten rebounds, but most must have come in the first half]. After that mini-hot streak, KVH did handle the ball more, but clanked a couple of shots. He was interviewed after the game along with Kidd, and I couldn't help but wonder why. I guess he did have good stats overall, but it mostly came before I turned it on.

At one point, RJ drove hard to the basket and was fouled, leading the announcer to say that he "doesn't play like a rookie," and it was good to see that he stayed aggressive despite erratic play over the last game or two. Made me think of what we need from Antoine Wright. BTW, RJ missed both foul shots, I believe. Also, KMart missed two foul shots late in the game.
