Great Article on him. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>SAN FRANCISCO ? The more beat up Charles Woodson gets this season, the better he seems to play. When the Green Bay Packers' left cornerback injured a shoulder while breaking up a pass to San Francisco's Arnaz Battle during the second quarter, it appeared he might be finished for the day. Woodson's teammates knew better. "He's had a lot of injuries this season and he plays through all of it," Packers receiver Greg Jennings said after Sunday's 30-19 win over the 49ers at Monster Park. "It's a reminder to all of us that we've got to play hurt." Despite battling through leg and shoulder injuries for most of the season, Woodson leads the team with five interceptions and hasn't missed a start.</div> Rest of the article can be found here.. http://www.packersnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a.../612110420/1989 I must say when the Pack first signed him I was excited that they got a guy with talent but I thought we overpaid for someone who is probably not as good as we all thought and hoped. I thought we paid the kind of money you give to a great player for a good player. Woodson has actually been great for the Pac. 5 picks and he's been playing through injuries. He's definately a lot tougher than most would think. If we had some NFL Caliber safties we might actually have a good secondary. So far I think he's lived up to his contract.
Without a doubt, I was concerned with his signing at first but it was definatly an improvement regardless. He's been playing pretty damn good this year, Harris has played solid as well, Collins has been inconsitent this year, and Manuel has been who I thought he'd be, a damn out of place Linebacker, and Patrick Dendy makes me sick everytime I see the Nickle package! Our Secondary is definatly our weakness but with maybe two decent additions in the offseason it could become a strength, a half way competent safety in FA, or maybe a Healthy Marviel Underwood, and a Solid Nickle back, which could also be solved with a healthy Will Blackmon.
I was very happy about the Woodson signing...I think we should snag a Safety and a CB. In Madden I have 3 CBs that are worthy of starting. So I have them all swiching in on different formations. That would be nice to see for the Packers but I dont know how much salary room we have....An example of one of my formation. I have 3 CB's, 1 Saftey, 4 Linebackers and 3 D-linemen. That scheme works well.

Woodson has done the hardest thing in sports and that's make fans forget about his big contract. Finally I've quit saying everytime he's down there goes Woodson for the season. I would of predicted he'd make it max 10 games. This could possibly be his best year as a pro

Green Bay is going to have loads of cap again this year and if Favre retires they gain 10+ mil more. I think the projected with Favre is 27.7 so if he retires then 37.7.. Though generally Madden isn't always the best way to build a football team.
7 INT's this year which is his career high. I know a lot of people thought he was overrated heading into the season and I wasn't the biggest fan of him either but this year he has just been something special. Maybe the most overlooked signing of the year.
