Winning Eleven (PES) > FIFA

    What reasons for this?

Well, let's see now; PES real-time physics to FIFA rail player physics. This means the players appear to run on rails. For instance when you score a goal in FIFA the player takes off some odd direction faster then a normal human being should be able to run at that sport. Ball movement is unrealistic in FIFA titles and moves through the air very strangely. Too many glitches in FIFA titles as well. Each one so far has had this one very notable glitch where if you take the ball up the right and cross it at the right moment with a striker up front towards the opponent goal you will score automatically with basically no contest what-so-ever. Ending up winning matches 11-0 on ten minute halves. The only glitch PES has had lately was in the previous version, which wasn't worth crap compared to PES4 or 5. This is where if you chose a certain face for your created players it would appear green at one camera angle. Not really bad, but something that annoyed me considering that I used this face for one of my created characters over the last few years now.

Anywho, people often complain that PES doesn't have the licenses for the clubs. Uhm, buy it on PC and download mods that are harmless to your computer. I used to mod the crap out of the PES series and each season I would have 100% accurate rosters, kits, player appearances, etc. Not to mention any type of boot, banners and custom chants. There is no comparison considering that there aren't many people out there that mod FIFA that well. The only thing that FIFA totally kills PES on is commentary. The PES commentators are absolutely horrific and boring. However, this may change since they're revamping the commentary and bringing in a new team. With far and away more customizing options, more to do, better gameplay, more realistic and far less issues, PES blows FIFA out by ten fold. Though they both fall to FM in terms of depth and replay value.

To be honest, I will still giveFIFA 08a shot as I do every year, overlookingthe previous titles. However, from what I know of already that the game still will have very similar issues to the others I don't have much hope and will look forward to PES 2008 despite the fact I don't have much time for games anymore. Woot!

I love FIFA 08 great with all the lower teams when you do cups etc. much more realistic, then when you do Manager modes you get the new teams coming up and down so you got new teams to play each year. The Be A Pro mode is great fun, although its is hard playing as a center forward (i reccomend playing as a winger...scored 4 from the wing) The tricks are hard to do but its alot easier to do tricks in Be a Pro because you only have 1 player to concentrate on.

i will be getting PES when it comes out but i always find it hard to adjust to PES after playing FIFA.

I'mfrom the States, the game has been released here every year for the last five or six. Only at first instead of calling it Pro Evolution Soccer they called it Winning Eleven. Now the game is called (even more confusing) Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 'insert year of release here' International. lol

Yeh that is quite a hard adjustment, i will probably get Fifa this Weekend then Pes when it comes out. The only reason i'm getting Fifa is for the Be a Pro mode it looks really good

This is the best fifa ever! Although its not going to compare with the game that comes out on 26th.

Fifa is just the game which keeps you occupied before PES comes out. Cant wait, 21 days!

It is considered the best FIFA ever and I agree; FIFA is a fun game to play before the real deal arrives in late October. That including Football Manager. Oh FM, how you steal most of my free time and sexual life. lol
