www.netsdaily.com

Says he's hoping for opening night and he probably won't participate in preseason. I don't think they'll throw him into the fire from game 1 so you'll probably see a Magloire-Collins tandem upfront for the first couple of games.

Well Thorn did say we would have beat Cleveland if Krstic would have been healthy. Hopefully we get him 100% by playoff time.

The last thing I want Krstic or Marcus to do is to rush back from injuries. We never start well off anyway, so I think its important to be healthy after the 82 game season. Plus I'll enjoy watching Sean and Boone run around out there and see how they do.

We can give Boone and Sean the minutes from Krstic. We don't need to fight to hard in the preseason,
so I am glad to see that Frank plays Sean and Boone much time in the preseason, and let them be two strong brothers.

I'm excited for the Josh Boone era. He had good rebounding numbers last year, and I always thought he played tough, if not smart or paticularly strong, on defense.
Man, Magloire and Collins in the frontcourt? That's going to be some ugly, ugly offense. Got my fingers crossed that RJ is finally (finally!) healthy, because otherwise it's going to be an adventure on offense.

I think Nenad is a little better than Magloire in the low-post offense, but he takes more shots in the outside.

Again, I think this is for the best. I'm really not convinced that a Nenad-Collins frontcourt is a particularly good combo.

While I like the idea of getting a good quality big man in to help the team, the problems is ...from where and what cost?
I'm thinkin' here that the Nets are taking a good approach this season by stockpiling bigs (most of the names mentioned above).
It increases the chances that at least *one* is a pleasant suprise.
Who will it be?
Who knows?

Maybe with even better shooting, and upper body strength.
Collins, with another season of rest and getting fit, could come out healthier than ever and actually do more than play post defense, take charges, set screens, and pass. He could score, rebound, and maybe even block a shot or 2 every once in a while.
Boone could continue his solid play from last season, near the end of the season. His injury isn't helping, tho.
Magloire could come in with a really good mentality, and try harder than ever. He could get help from JKidd and Collins to get back to his double-double stats of his all-star season. Remember, that was the season when he played big minutes (33.9) alongside a great point guard (Davis, along with Darrell Armstrong off the bench) and a solid defensive post presence (PJ Brown). (BTW, didn't even realize Darrell played with Jamaal before. That doesn't hurt.)
Sean Williams, although he is a rookie, could come in and possibly get minutes this season. He could prove his worth as a defensive presence, shotblocker, rebounder, and even an okay scorer down low. I believe he has the possiblity of shocking people and actually getting good minutes from Frank.
