A]Is this the right move?
    B]How long does this last?

I don't think he's quick enough to defend a lot of the twos going, but then again they can just hide him in a zone, he's not playing cornerback. Offensively it should be a pretty nice advantage. I wouldn't mind him there his whole career really, I don't think he'll ever be thick enough to play the 4like people think, and I'm sure he'll be able to slide over to the 3 sometimes, so he'd just be a swingman with a bigger swoosh in his swing.

I can see him as a McGrady when it comes to positions. Didn`t Van Gundy switch him from SG to SF or vice versa multiple times?

It will take a number of seasons before Durant would be able to play consistent minutes at the 4. He'll be 19 this season and with his body type, it will take a lot of training to develop the type of thickness he'd need to handle the pounding a 4 takes.

Considering the Sonics roster, this is the best move as it gives Green more opportunity to play. Plus I've said for months that Durant was closer to a 2 than 4 so of course I agree with this.

With his body type and skills, it makes more sense to use him as a forward. I don't know how proficient he is as a ball-handler / playmaker. He seems more like a Dominique/Carmelo type then Kobe/T-Mac.

I think he'll be fine. He'll eventually slide up to the 4-spot later on in his career, but this is the best way to get both Durant and Green the playing time they should be getting. Durant will have problems defensively against a lot of matchups, but guarding quicker players every night is only going to make him better.

I think Durant should be the starting SF, and Green should be the backup SF/PF.

I'd rather have Wilkins at the 2, and Durant at the 3, with Green coming off the bench. I think Wilkins deserves it.

I'd rather see my #5 pick develop faster.
