Like my Cowboys, it's always only a matter of time before a team with the legacy of the Niners re-emerges as an NFL power. Next season you guys should be right in the thick of things division wise, and a near shoe-in for the playoffs (considering you have a positive off season). Wouldn't it be something if our teams met for an NFC title for the fourth consecutive decade? Of course Dallas would win (that's a no brainer ). Anyway, I have to admit I've kinda missed the '9ers as a powerhouse. When Dallas and San Francisco are both kicking ass, the NFL and it's fans are the ones who benefit. Well, it doesn't hurt the two franchises either. Congratulations on HUGE win last night. I think ya'll sent a message to the rest of the west, if not the entire conference & league.
There was only one thing to say when these 2 were powwerhouses; Thank heaven for the Packers. I was never found of either Dallas or SF. It will be different & better now w/ Alex Smith as Niners QB and not Steve Young.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Thank heaven for the Packers.</div> Favre is 11 - 1 vs. the 49'ers in his career with the one loss being the Steve Young to TO debacle. Should be 12 - 0, but there was no instant replay that year. The Cowboys on the other hand OWNED the Packers. They are the reason that Favre didn't have two or three more shots at the big game. It was only after the Cowboys started to become mortal again that the Packers finally got their shot.
I hope so...The team has a bunch of talented youngsters who can deifnately provide some fireworks.....It is going to be fun next year for sure...
Maybe it's because I am an Eagles fan but I never have liked Dallas but never had an issue with the 49ers. The NFC is really hurting for a legacy team at the moment.
