OWINGS MILLS — Baltimore Ravens defensive end Trevor Pryce predicted that he should be able to return from a broken wrist by Nov. 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Monday night game follows the Ravens’ bye week.

"I’m almost 90 percent sure I’m playing against Pittsburgh," said Pryce, who was on the field Wednesday and took part in stretching drills wearing his No. 90 jersey and sweatpants. "It’s hard to watch. Watching last week’s game was by far the hardest to watch."

Pryce recently had his stitches removed after undergoing surgery Sept. 16, but isn’t slated to have metal pins removed from his left arm for a few weeks.

"I’ve got it dislocated above my ligaments, so the pins go crossways," he said. "When those come out, I should be fine."

Since the four-time Pro Bowl selection got injured against the New York Jets, the Ravens’ pass rush has halted almost completely.

The Ravens have generated just one sack and not many quarterback pressures. Baltimore has only six sacks in four games after finishing second in the league last season with 60 sacks.

"I’m not a catch-all, trust me," said Pryce, who led Baltimore with 13 sacks a year ago. "I don’t know if anybody knows this, but we weren’t going to have 60 again. That’s not the way the NFL works. I think we need to get back to doing the things that we do best and trust more to realize and know where this guy is going to be and that guy is going to be."

ROLLE WORKING OUT: Cornerback Samari Rolle returned to practice for the first time in two weeks after missing the past two games with an undisclosed illness.

CODY SETBACK: Oft-injured linebacker Dan Cody, who’s on the physically unable to perform list following offseason surgery on his right knee, appeared to injure his left leg while working out with linebacker Mike Smith and linebackers coach Jeff FitzGerald.

The former second-round draft pick limped to the locker room and was later seen on crutches. Cody tore his posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last November against the Steelers.

In the next few weeks, the Ravens will have to make a decision on whether to activate Cody or place him on injured reserve.

OGDEN UPDATE: All-Pro offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden (turf toe, sprained foot) was limited in practice.

Ogden, who has missed the past three games since spraining his left foot in the season opener, acknowledged that he wasn’t really close to playing last week against the Cleveland Browns.

"We don’t ever tell you the complete truth," Ogden said. "With this toe, I’m never really sure and it frustrates me. I keep hoping and hopefully this will be the week.

"You generate power through your feet and through your toes, and I’ve got no power. I’ve got some, but not what I’m used to and not what I need."

INJURY UPDATE: Not practicing: tight end Todd Heap (thigh), Rolle, linebacker Terrell Suggs (pink eye) and tight end Daniel Wilcox (foot).

Wilcox said that it’s just a sprain.

    "No biggie," he said.

Limited in practice besides Ogden: return specialist Yamon Figurs (shoulder stinger), quarterback Steve McNair (groin pull) and wide receiver Derrick Mason (knee).

McNair said he’s 75 percent better than when he initially got hurt against the Bengals.

    Figurs guaranteed he would play.

Linebacker Bart Scott had a funny line about Suggs’ ailment, attributing it to the conditions at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

"It’s the toxic fumes," Scott said. "We’ve got to quarantine that field."

QUICK HITS: With Baltimore (2-2) winless against the AFC North and on the road, Scott said he won’t be picky about any win as the Ravens prepare to take on the 49ers’ last-ranked offense. "To tell you the truth, I’d play Dundalk and McDonogh right now," he said. "I’m just trying to get a victory. I’m trying to be 3-2, and I don’t really care who it is. You can’t buy into all that stuff that their offense is struggling. I don’t want to hear that stuff. We’re struggling." ... Scott declined to discuss 49ers coach Mike Nolan, the former Ravens defensive coordinator. "I’m ready to play the San Francisco 49ers," he said. "That’s all I’ve got to say about that. You [reporters] are agitators. I don’t feel like answering that question right now. Maybe I will feel like answering that question later." ... The 49ers have converted just 13 of 54 third downs, a 24.1 percent clip.

Glad to hear that Pryce, Ogden, and Rolle are making their way back. It's obvious we clearly missed all three of them especially Ogden.

I think we miss having Pryce more. His presence alone freed up others. Plus, Dwan Edwards sucks.
