The biggest problem with criticizing the selection of Romo is that there really isn't any other 3rd QB to put with the first two that is any better. I don't know that I consider him probowl worthy, primarily because he has only started 8 games so far.

The 16 TD - 10 INT is what it is. You can't compare winning records or losing records because plenty of good teams have horrible defenses and bad teams good defenses. Plus, if you want to talk winning records, then you have to take out the 5 INTs against the 7-7 Giants. That makes it 5 TD and 4 INT. Do the same for Brees and it looks a whole lot better because of his 5 TD 0 INT performance against Dallas. In his other 3 games against winning-record teams, he threw 8 picks with 8 TDs.

The other thing you have to remember that this is the NFC where only 5 teams in the conference have winning records right now. What do you want from a probowl player out of this conference? [IMG]

I looked at Romo's performance against a bad team like the Redskins, and he had the best completion %, most TDs, and least INTs when compared with the 6 other QBs that have played against Wash since. That includes McNabb, Delhomme, Vick, Garcia, and Brees.

Playing just like Grossman is a little exaggeration too. Grossman has 6 games with a rating over 100 and 4 games under 40. That leaves only 4 in between. Romo has played 4 games over 100 and none under 40. 58.1 is his lowest. And its not like the Bears play teams with winning records much either.</div>
My point was that hes played really really well against bad teams and hes played like crap against good teams....if that trend continues, enjoy your 1st round playoff exit....</div>
They'll end up playing a bad team in the 1st round of the NFC playoffs anyway. Hate Romo all you want. He had a terrible game against the Saints...obviously. He struggled against the Giants, but he made the big plays with his arm when they needed them. Funny to me that people are praising Vince Young for doing just that despite having the 3rd worst QB rating in the NFL, but many are wanting to criticize Romo for achieving it. The distaste that many have for him simply stems from all the love that he's receiving. I agree that some of it is too much, but let there be no doubt that the Cowboys are America's team. Romo's emergence at the top of every NFL news story is proof of that. His jersey has been the highest selling NFL jersey for the past 4 weeks. That's just evidence of the publicity he's receiving. I don't think he's earned all of it, but it's been a long time since the Cowboys had a QB that was actually worth getting excited about.

Funniest commercial ever. It totally mocked farve and his deal making!</div>
Just another proof of what happens behind locker room doors involving Favre...</div>
Now that you bring all that up....Romo does idolize Favre and try to emulate him. Hmm....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'>I thought Charles Woodson or Walt Harris should've made it for a CB. DeAngelo Hall hasn't impressed me much this year.</div>
Nah, Woodson shouldn't be in if Nnamdi Asomugha doesn't get in. Asomugha was tied for 2nd in the league for interceptions, and also has more tackles than Woodson. Opposing offenses have now given up trying to throw at his side. Asomugha got snubbed.

Warren Sapp, who leads all interior linemen in sacks, is coming off his best season is several years and did not make the Pro Bowl.
