It may seem stupid. It may seem like a kids game. You may be made fun of, but if you try it (get the demo) you will like it. It's amazing how such a simple game is so much fun. The singing is addicting and the basic controls makes this game a hit! (Ofcourse,I'llstillsaygetPESoverFifa)

Is MGS: Portable Ops bad or something? I have heard people complain about it being a joke.

No, it's actually a very good game.As already mentioned, the game is not like the other MGS games, but rather somewhat of a strategy game. You can only hold up to 4 weapons/accessories and can only have up to 4 people on a team going into combat. So you have to be strategic about WHICH people you're going to take with you into the battlefield (should I get a guy that can carry soldiers fast? Or someone that can sneak up behind people fast? Or perhaps someone that will collect all the items?) and WHAT those people are going to take with them (should I get a C4 to blow up the supplies? Maybe a knife for stealthy kills? Or maybe a box to hide in?)Then, as described above, you have your medics and spy units, which are pretty much self explainatory.

I might buy a PSP soon in the future. Maybe the new slim one that comes in silver, release date not really sure but I think Sony said it would be out on the shelfs in November.

Don't get NBA 08. The more I play it, the more it pisses me off. The online sucks, people cheat constantly.
