    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'>and the Defense isn't as good as last year.</div>
the defense is just as good.. but teams are doing a great job not allowing our front 4 to get pressure which allows QBs to find the weakness.. we need our front 4 to step up.. us losing Harris is no excuse someone needs to fill the void..

Not a measuring stick at all, BUT I have to admit that I am very concerned with the way we played that game and how we will be heading into our 1st playoff game and possibly last with the way things went last night. The defence has looked bad the past three weeks and Grossman looks to be back to his familiar ways with another QB rating of 0.0. We can not win a playoff game with turnovers.I am not a believer that Rex will bring us to the promised land and actually am dissapointed that we didn't go after one the better QB's in this years free agency when we had the chance. It looks like that may come back and haunt us now. Hopefully it was just looked at as a "meaningless game" but to me their are no "meaningless games". We will not be going into the Playoffs with a burst of confidence from what happened on the field last night and with another 1 and done this year I will be devestated. What will winning the division and getting home field advantage mean if you can't win when it count's? How many picks will it take for them to pull Grossman if he play's the same way and will it be to late by then. Griese didn't really shine last night either. Maybe we should have to play the Colts, that way at least one of us can actually make it through a first round playoff game. Sorry, see I am alredy STRESSING! :reallysick:

    Oh yea, GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It just proves there's no tough team in the NFC. The Bears can't even win at home and the Cowboys lose at home too a 2-13 team with the divison title on the line.

The Jeff Garcia led Eagles and the 8-8 Panthers may be the best the NFC has to offer. I'm not sure these team could compete in the Big Ten!

Everyone is overlooking the defending NFC champs. I say look out if Hasselbeck & Alexander get hot.

i am not over looking anyone at this Point the NFC playoffs are the teams that deserve to be there.. If the Giants get their crap together they can be very dangerous.. Seattle can be dangerous.. dallas can be dangerous.. And we all know chicago can be very dangerous.. The problem with the NFC is all the teams are jakal and mr. hyde.. we never know which team will show up

A meaningless game? Bragging rights? Greatest rival winner= Green Bay? If it was for the Bears win then you wouldn't of said meaningless.

i can't see how u can say GB is the winner of this rivalry.. esp this season since its a tie 1-1 so if u wanna go by points scored Chicago wins

    week 1

    bears 26
    GB 0

    week 17

    Bears 7
    GB 26

    Totals

    Bears 33
    GB 26

And it was meaningless.. win or lose we still have the #1 seed.. and GB goes Home.. But i would have liked to see us look better then that

I should worded it different. Greatest Rivalry, with a Packers win at the end.

Its all good man.. Hats off to The packers.. they are still one of the Teams i hate to play chicago could have been 15-0 going into this game and GB could have been 0-15 and i would still think we could lose due to 1 man.. #4 doesn't matter about his stats.. the guy can flat out play.. Its the reason i say he should retire because he is the only QB that consistantly makes us look like crap

While GB isn?t the clear cut better team IF I'm a Bear fan I'm embarrassed. You can say what you want about the 1st game. It was the Bears coming off a Division Title against a team with a bunch of rookies seeing their first full game of NFL action.

The difference is Green Bay improved throughout the year. Chicago really didn't. In fact I think they got worst a bit. So while Chicago is heading to the playoffs. Bears Fans have to be worried because even if you make the Super Bowl. They don't look like they can beat the Fab 4 from the AFC.

As for meaningless. Your starting Quarterback threw 3 picks and your weapons were playing. Griese threw 2 and the weapons were playing. Your starters played most of the game. Bears vs. Packers is never meaningless and the players know that. Chicago had a let down game. For Bear fans hopefully they needed to get this out of their system. If not then it'll be one and done.

Honestly though would it be any fun at all if the all the bears fans on here LOVED the Packers? The hate between the two team make the rivalry legendary!
