The last time the Lions won four of their first five games wasin 1991, when they advanced to the NFC championship game wherethey lost at Washington. Detroit also enters this contest attempting to surpass its wintotal from all of last season. "Luck is turning our way," Lions star wide receiver Roy Williamssaid. "We're a 3-1 ballclub and not a lot of teams can saythat." Last Sunday, the Lions scored a league-record 34 fourth-quarterpoints en route to a 37-27 victory over the Chicago Bears. JonKitna went an efficient 20-of-24 for 247 yards and twotouchdowns. This is the second time the Lions are facing an NFC East time onthe road this season. Two weeks ago, they surrendered 536total yards in a 56-21 debacle at Philadelphia. The Lions also enter this contest attempting to reverse historysince they are 0-17 all-time at Washington. Also off to a bit of a surprising start, the Redskins enter thiscontest off their bye week. Two weeks ago, the Redskins were blanked in the second half in a24-17 home loss to the New York Giants. The Redskins had builta 17-3 halftime lead. Washington is seeking its first 3-1 start since 2005.
Re: NFL: DETROIT (3-1) at WASHINGTON (2-1) This should be very exciting. Both teams have surprised fans by starting off their season strong. I think the Redskins need to come back from the disaster against New York and get the W against Detroit who's defense let up 50+ points against the Eagles 2 weeks ago.

Re: NFL: DETROIT (3-1) at WASHINGTON (2-1) Our pass rush has been great so far. Andre Carter has been manhandling the mismatches and he'll only give Kitna a hard time in the pocket, if they don't send out help on the left side. The is the way they need to play the entire season to put ourselves in the top 5 rank in defense once again.
