The team wants him back as stated. They have a lot of cap and could make some moves this off season. They clearly are on the rise and just missed the playoffs. Win or lose tonight they will have a winning record in the Divison. He's clearly still is capable of playing. His arm is still there and he moves pretty well yet. I don't see why he'd come back after last years diaster and retire when there is a team on the rise. IMO it's a pretty easy decison to make but from the sound of it he might be leaning the other way.
I think it depends on his ankle surgery, to be honest. If it goes well, he'll be back. If there are complications, he won't be back.
I, for one, will be glad to see those media vultures focus on something besides TO, Saban to Bama, how great Romo is, etc...

I'm with Madden. He's retiring. He broke down pretty easily. That looked like someone who was playing his last game. Hope he comes back but I think this was his last game. If it was nice streak to go out on. Beating Lions, Vikings, and then the Bears.
After all that blubering he almost has to quit. It's a shame because he could play into his 40's in my opinion.
I think he should come back. I was afraid that his interception total last year was an indication that time might have caught up with him, but he did a great job of protecting the ball this year. It looks like the Packers have done a good job of restocking that O-line with some young bucks that have improved as the year has gone on. The Packers have the cap room to make some significant free agent moves. I think he can get the Pack back to the playoffs if he comes back and the front office gets him a little more offensive help.
I knew Favre would make it on the rock star player of the game. And considering how he reacted after the game, he knows he is going to retire. Good to leave on a good note. It's better to see him in the HOF than the field at his age.

While his play on the field hasn't been the greatest he threw only 2 less touchdowns this year But 11 fewer INT's. All this with pretty much Ahman Green, Donald Driver, and a banged up Greg Jennings this year. He finished in the top 10 in yards this year and top 10 in completions. Say what you want about his age. That's not a factor. He still has it and can keep playing IF he wants too. If not then a great way to go out beating the Lions, Vikings, and Bears on the road.
well i hope he either says he is retiring or not retiring soon because i honestly dont wanna hear about it all offseason
