QUOTE

Clip and save this one for when Kobe Bryant starts blasting away at Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak for not landing Garnett: "I know they tried," said Bryant, whose demands for a superstar have not been met. "It wasn't a lack of effort. That means a lot to me because they really pushed to get it done. It just didn't happen. I can live with that." Bryant called the Celtics' deal for Garnett a "checkmate piece." About his own future in L.A., Bryant also said all the right things. "I think the important thing for everybody to understand is that I want to bring a title back to L.A.," he said. "That's priority No. 1 for me. I just have to trust that we're all on the same page in terms of getting that done." We'll see if Bryant is still on the same page when the Lakers go on their first losing streak.

Source: NY Daily News

Very nice article. Jusst how reliable is the source though. Best quote from Kobe I've seen yet about his feelings for the team.

They tried hard to get Garnett but the Wolves wanted more than Odom and Bynum they wanted more guys that the Lakers didn't have.So they did tried buy they failed.

Hopefully his comments weren't taken too, personnel by his teammates.

I hope that this means that Kobe will stay a Lakers for a while and not go to the Bulls or something.
