QUOTE

Darrell Armstrong — Nets

Since Marcus Williams is injured (and is more of a shooting guard anyway), the energetic Armstrong will inject some pizzazz into New Jersey's second unit.

    Utility grade: A

    link

Hm...hopefully, when Marcus comes back, he'll prove Charlie wrong and go back to his UConn ways, with distributing the ball and being a leader.

While Rosen is an idiot at times, he's right...he'll help out the 2nd unit alot.

With the "shooting guard" remark, Rosen has just added to his already impressive resume of inanity.

There's a reason that no NBA team in the history of the league has ever asked Rosen to even be an assistant coach. He's a good scout, a terrible writer and just an overall negative person.

I'd be seriously surprised if Charlie Rosen had any friends.

Lol, I've yet to see his court vision in action.

He will have a lot of trouble at the SG position. He is not a great defender to begin with, and isn't that athletic. So, you put him up against Allen or Pierce, then he is done. They are droppin' 30-40 points.

I assume you've never seen one of his Uconn basketball games...too bad for you, he was quite a good point guard in college.

His court vision is fine. It's his execution and decision-making that are lacking. He sees passing lanes, but can't take advantage of them, yet.

Rosen has no idea what the hell he's talking about. Marcus is not a SG to beginwith but this is the same guy who wrote an article stating that Lebron James wouldn't be able to hang with the big boys of the NBA. How'd that work out for him?

Well if he is a SG, then he wold have to guard those players.

Plus, I've seen him at UConn, what does that mean now? He is in the NBA, I wanna see it in action. I know he has potential, but I hope he can break out this year. I just think he needs to work on his defense more then anything.

It means he's still getting used to the NBA and his conditioning. Just ask NetIncome, he'll tell you:
QUOTE (NetIncome)

I will reiterate what Dave Dalessandro said of him at the end of last year and during the summer...

"Broken record alert, because you've heard me say this 1,000 times: You never judge a point guard after only one season. It takes two or three years for most of them to figure it out, and half the development is between the ears."

Why is everyone replying to the part where he says Marcus is a SG as if he literally means it? He just means Marcus is playing the game looking to shoot as soon as he comes in instead of distributing the ball like a PG should. He doesnt mean Marcus is literally a SG or ever will be...

Antoine plays 2nd string SG, and would be put on those players.

Also since when does having a starting PG that can't shoot the ball mean that no other PG can?

Rosen has at least one friend, as he is one of Phil Jackson's mouth pieces.

Prior to Vince getting traded to the Nets, there was a group of Nets fans that use to love Rosen because he would, among other things, always have Kenyon high on his overrated list. Once Vince became a Net, those few never talked Rosen's overrated lists again. Ahhhh, the good old days.

Some people just have it. I remember people saying they never studied, but got an A. Or someone who's trying out said they never work out, yet puts up the best numbers the first day....DA is one of those, a natural.
