Mark Cuban says that if he succeeds in buying the Cubs, he'll be a billionaire bleacher bum.

The Internet billionaire and Dallas Mavericks owner, known for noisily cheering on the Mavs and berating NBA officials from courtside, reiterated strong interest Monday in owning the Cubs and insisted he'd be rooting them on from a much more distant vantage point.

"Everybody thinks I'm going to be on the sidelines, in the dugout, jumping up and down. That's not where I'll be," he said on the Mike North Morning Show on radio station WSCR.

"When I went to the Cubs game a couple weeks ago, I sat in the bleachers, and I'll have a seat marked out for me and my friends. We'll be out in the right-field bleachers -- that's the best place to watch a game."

It'd suck if he doesn't get to buy the Cubs. Easily the best candidate imo.

I hope he does end up buying the Cubs he seems like a great owner and would help out the Cubs and there curse.I also think that he is the best candidate but then again you never know what happens. But wouldn't this make his job harder having the Mavs and the Cubs.

I think Cuban would be a great owner for any franchise, if you look at what he did to the Mavericks when he bought them you would be amazed how dedicated he is to winning. Some peolpe may not like him due to his personality and whatnot but he is one of the most active owners in sports right now.

Dude has billions and he's having fun.

Better than all those mopey workaholics and other assorted rich people we are all supposed to feel sorry for.

He's always accused of being an attention whore, but I genuinely think he's just trying to jam as much stuff into his life as he can.

I really hope it happens. I could see him making a big offer to A-Rod and I think he would accept it.
