"16. Lawrence Frank, New Jersey: He has come a long way since his days as Indiana University's student manager, and again has job security after getting his contract extended in July. Still the youngest head coach in the league, he'll be the beneficiary of more brain power around him with former Magic coach Brian Hill coming on board as an assistant and 39-year old Darrell Armstrong signing on as a player. Armstrong, who you should expect to see on one of these lists in the future, is two years older than Frank."

Link</a.
Wow Sam Mitchell is ahead of Frank? Yeah, he really showed that in the playoffs. He's the one thing holding that team back IMO. Byron has atleast kept a team riddled with injuries competetitive and gets the most out of the players, in the west no less.

I don't care how far the Cavs got in the playoffs last year, I can't see Brown getting into top 10. He knows nothing about offense, even tho defensively he's great...offensively he has no clue what he's doing. Lebron pretty much carries that team, and it was no wonder they cracked under the Spurs' smarter defense, and much better offense.
I'd throw Scott Skiles in top 10 in a second, tho.

QUOTE (ghoti)

Tony Mejia - irrelevant.

On the one hand, I agree with you. On the other, how many national sportswriters would you call relevant?
I definitely don't care when Tony Mejia says, but I'm pretty sure I don't care what Marc Stein or Greg Anthony has to say either.

Wow, we have a nice coaching staff. Former Bulls coach (Cartwright), former Magic coach (Hill), a trainer who worked with the Olympics team and the All-Star team (Walsh). Pretty good.

They're all irrelevant.
But this list is so catastrophically stupid, if Mejia wasn't already irrelevant, he would be now.

I don't see how you can't rank Frank over Mitchell after how badly he pwned him during the playoffs. This list is pretty ridiculous (Mike Brown?).
