NCAAF: ARIZONA (2-4) at USC (4-1)

Shell-shocked USC looks to rebound vs. Arizona

Arizona (2-4) at No. 10 USC (4-1) 3:30 pm EDT

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Amazingly, Southern California will haveto avoid a home losing streak this week. The Trojans may haveto do so without starting quarterback John David Booty.

After a stunning defeat, the 10th-ranked Trojans look to bounceback against lowly Arizona in a Pac-10 Conference contestSaturday.

In one of the biggest upsets in memory, the Trojans - favored by41 points - lost to Stanford here last week, 24-23, aftergiving up 17 fourth-quarter points.

The most notable uncharacteristic play came when the Cardinaltook the lead for good thanks to a 10-yard TD pass on4th-and-goal with 49 seconds left.

Booty threw four interceptions as USC (4-1, 2-1 Pac-10) saw its35-game home winning streak come to an end.

The Trojans had not lost at the Los Angeles Coliseum sincefalling to Stanford in 2001 - USC coach Pete Carroll's firstseason.

A preseason Heisman Trophy candidate, Booty broke his middlefinger on his throwing hand in the second quarter and may beunable to play this week.

Arizona (2-4, 1-2), meanwhile, lost for the third time in fourgames last Saturday, absorbing a 31-16 setback at Oregon State.

Willie Tuitama was intercepted three times for the Wildcats, whogave up 24 first-quarter points and never threatenedthereafter.

USC has won five straight in the series, including a 20-3triumph in Tucson last year.
