it's a damn shame that Joe gets the blame because of his players choking in the post season and spotty ass pitching........I think George is making a mistake by letting Joe go, because some players (Rivera, Posada, etc.) might be gone with him...and on top of that he's one good ass manager........I'm a die hard yankees fan but these group of guys just don't have "it"....guys like Brosius, Martinez, Oneill, Curtis, Williams, and even Blockhead never had half the talent as A-Rod, but they knew how to get it done in the crunch time....it amazes me how a team so talented can freeze up every year come October.....until these guys learn how to hit in October and until the Yanks get younger pitchers (goodbye Moose and Clemens) the yankees will continue to do the same shit every season....

I wouldn't be surprised if ARod leaves as well.

Now we collectively gather ourselves and root for the Redsox to lose. As for the roster changes and manager change I have faith in Ca$hman to make the right calls, assuming George doesn't get overly involved again.

I'd want A-Rod back, but not for the $30M price tag. If he can rake in that much somewhere else best of luck to him. I know ARod had another rough post-season, but without him the Yankees probably don't reach the playoffs this season. He's a lock for the AL MVP and still one of the best in the game.

Pitching has some upside if Chamberlain can join the rotation and perform. I'd like to bring Pettitte back and go after another lefty.

I say bring Andy back...Clemens needs to retire.....Moose might be done, but he always seems to show up in the post-season and he had a promising September......hopefully Rivera doesn't test the market.........and let A-Rod go......he is a great player, but his incapability to produce in October just doesn't sit well with me............and bring back Torre.......

I think that if Torre leaves that you might expect other players to leave and then you have mostly everybody leaving that are FA.As for Alex I think that he might either leave the Yankees or join the the Red Sox.I know that he wants to stay in NY but then you never know if he might leave.
