Re: NBA: CHICAGO at MILWAUKEE From when I was watching the game, Luol Deng looked kind of indecisive, didn't know what to do as a first option. Needs Gordon back. Kirk was the guy leading the charge. Wallace with a headband on. Tyrus just kind of floating around on the court, not doing a whole lot.
Its a shame the WMOE feed kept crapping out so I couldn't watch the rest of the game....and Bucks are too poor of a team to have their games broadcasted by the local sportsnet.

Re: NBA: CHICAGO at MILWAUKEE Bulls lose. Moral of the story, if you want to hold a lead, don't take out your starters and play a bunch of guys I've never heard of.

Re: NBA: CHICAGO at MILWAUKEE Oh no, we lost!
The season is a wash!
Fire Skiles! Fire Paxson!

Re: NBA: CHICAGO at MILWAUKEE It's a preseason game, I wouldn't get overly excited about this loss as disappointing as it may be.

Re: NBA: CHICAGO at MILWAUKEE Some nice stats.
Luol Deng 10 points (5-9), 6 rebs, 4 ast in 18 minutes. Tyrus Thomas 8 points 5 rebs 2 ast in 21 minutes Ben Wallace 10 points in 17 minutes Kirk Hinrich 6 points 5 ast 4 to (need Gordon at the point ; ) ) in 18 minutes Andres Nocioni 13 points in 16 minutes Chris Duhon 6 pts 5 ast in 21 minutes Joakim Noah 6 pts 4 rebs 4 ast in 23 minutes Aaron Gray 10 pts 6 rebs in 16 minutes.
Some pretty impressive stats there. Some conclusions I would draw from this game.
-Luol Deng is not a first option. Put away that pipe dream. He is nothing more than Gordon's #2. -Tyrus Thomas/Joakim Noah, both seem to be about even. Noah will probably be better off the bench, as it'll be nice to have that energy spark off the bench, and it gives Thomas time to get in a groove to start the game. -Andres Nocioni should finish top 2 in 6th man of the year voting. -Paxson was 2 for 3 in the draft this year. Noah and Gray were hits, Curry is awful. -There will not be much time for Joe Smith on this team. Wallace looks rejuvenated, should get 36 minutes a game, Thomas/Noah should gobble up the majority of the powerforward minutes, with Nocoioni getting a few, Noah getting some at center, and Gray getting some at center. Hopefully Joe SMith is a good leader, otherwise this will be a bust of a signing and a waste of money.
Can't wait to see Fridays game, since Gordon should be playing.

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- Andrew Bogut scored 14 pointsand Charlie Bell added 13, five rebounds and seven assists asthe Milwaukee Bucks posted a 93-88 victory over the ChicagoBulls in the preseason opener for both clubs on Tuesday. Royal Ivey scored nine of his 10 points in the fourth quarterand Awvee Storey added all of his eight in the final period forMilwaukee, which rallied from a six-point third-quarter deficitfor the victory. All-Star Michael Redd also added nine for the Bucks, who shot 42percent (30-of-72). Bogut had all of his points in the first half as Milwaukee tooka 47-46 lead at halftime. However, Tyrus Thomas and Luol Deng each had six points in thethird quarter for the Bulls, who outscored the Bucks, 24-17, inthe period. Andres Nocioni led Chicago with 13 points and Deng, Ben Wallaceand rookie Aaron Gray each had 10 for the Bulls, who shot 49percent (32-of-66). Thomas finished with eight points. Rookie Joakim Noah - Chicago's first-round pick - came off thebench to collect six points, four rebounds and four assists in23 minutes while the Bucks' top selection Yi Jianlian scoredthree in 15 minutes before fouling out.
Re: NBA: CHICAGO at MILWAUKEE LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) -- Yi Jianlian made his debut for the Bucks, but fellow rookie Joakim Noah looked more like a polished pro in Milwaukee's 93-88 victory over the Chicago Bulls in the exhibition opener on Tuesday night.
Noah, who led Florida to back-to-back titles in college, was just as intense as he had been in his final game with the Gators when he entered late in the first quarter. The ninth pick of the draft opened with a slam and blocked Andrew Bogut's shot on the ensuing possession.
Noah finished with six points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in 23 minutes.
Yi, who fouled out in 16 minutes, came in with 59 seconds left to play in the first quarter to a raucous ovation and chants of "EE!" He altered a shot by Thomas Gardner, who later dunked over him, but he struggled to defend the energetic Noah.
Yi, the 6-foot-11 power forward selected sixth, looked overmatched in his four minutes of play in the first half and picked up three quick fouls, the last for an illegal screen that sent him to the bench for a counseling session by Desmond Mason.
In the second half, Yi hit a 9-foot jumper and scored four points, but didn't have a rebound or an assist. Too often he looked tentative on offense, such as when he made a nice steal and had only Noah to beat. Instead of going to the basket strong, he neither hit the shot nor drew a foul.
Noah, meanwhile, heard his own name chanted among the hundreds of Bulls fans in the sellout crowd of 6,118 at the former CBA venue, the first time the Bucks had played there in eight years.
Bogut scored 14 points for the Bucks, Charlie Bell 13 and Royal Ivey 10. Chicago got 13 from Andres Nocioni and 10 apiece from Luol Deng, Ben Wallace and rookie Aaron Gray.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap;_ylt=Al6...?gid=2007100915

Re: NBA: CHICAGO at MILWAUKEE Double Deng's numbers.
20 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists in 36 minutes. WOW

Re: NBA: CHICAGO at MILWAUKEE The assists were one of the most impressive things of the night. Noah/Hinrich/Duhon/Deng all got a good number. I think most Bulls fans undervalue Duhon. He is such a great backup point guard, no other teams in the league have one that can match him.
Wallace looked in better shape than last year, excited, headband wearing....he wasn't jumping too great though...thats fallen off some more.
