Exciting final scrimmage today. The blue team had Vince, Jason, RJ, Magloire, Malik Allen, Sean Williams, Boki, and Eddie Gill. The white team had Jumaine Jones, Antoine Wright, Josh Boone, Mile Ilic, Rod Benson, Mateen Cleaves, and Robert Hite.

Highlights: 1) Sean Williams again showing his explosion, taking the ball and raising up in a crowd – over the crowd – to emphatically dunk it home. Left RJ walking up the court in the other direction, mouthing the words “oh my god.” 2) With the seconds winding down in the scrimmage, Jumaine Jones hit a three-pointer as time expired. White, 18 Blue, 17.

Sean Williams will be starting next season and I am hoping we get rid of Mile and Brob and sign Hite, Jumaine Jones and Malik.

QUOTE

The front-court situation – between Collins, Magloire, Boone, Malik Allen, Sean Williams, etc. - is still where it was at the start of camp and probably won’t be figured out until the preseason is over.

I know this isn't an allstar line but this may be the best group we've had upfront in a long time.

thought this was funny, from In the 'Zzone:
QUOTE

Right before Darrell Armstrong gave the ball to Jones, Lawrence Frank screamed, "No threes!" I immediately found myself thinking about Boston and Phoenix last year.

haha, I wonder how that affects whether or not Jones makes the team.

Anyone else starting to get all tingly about the Sean Williams pick? Like, "Holy crap we might have gotten the 4th best prospect in the draft" tingly? It's still more likely than not he'll look completely lost when we tip off opening day, but it sounds like his athletic ability is really, really special.

Then again, these boards have a way of hyping unknown quantities way, way up. Drejer the 7 foot point guard! Ilic's hands are two feet long! And so on and so forth.

Nope, but as long as he is better than Linton, we are making progress.

I've had faith in Sean Williams all along,I'moneofhisbiggestfans. I'm really dissapointed we didnt pick him, especially since we're in need of a 5.

Will Sean Williams make a big step ahead of Josh Boone?

This kid will help the Nets, and all the writers that overlook Sean Williams as a offseason upgrade will eat their words.

Damn, how to play the Big, Sean Williams + Collins or Sean + Krstic or Sean + Magloire...
