Who are Dolphin fans more dissapointed in? I'm curious I guess. Wannstedt I know is not a favorite here but he did put up 4 winning seasons and some playoffs. He really lost the team when the best player decided to retire. Saban made the wrong move in getting Culpepper and bailed on two years?

Wannstedt was worse....In both of Wannys pro job, he took over a playoff team and dragged them into the depths of NFL hell....In Miami he did worse each year, until he got fired....

I am not too pleased w/ either. Beef hit the nail on the head.

For all his character flaws, Saban had a vision & plan that entailed something... its just a shame the hillbilly Napoleon balied when things got tough.

I read that somewhere Saban is trying to justify his short tenure by saying that hel left the Dolphins better off than they were in terms of personnel & salary cap.

An argument could be made about personnel. Maybe, the next coach has a radically different philosophy. So, Nick's type of player is not suited by whoever... hopefully Cameron, Wisenhunt, or Rex Ryan.

As for the Salary cap, I think almost anyone w/ an understanding it could have rectified the Dolphins situation.

Sources say that Pete Carroll interviewed with the Dolphins (or is in the process of doing so).

That is what I've read as well. They have or will also interview Vikes DC Mike Tomlin.

I have heard that (ATL native) Wisenhunt is the preferred candidate in Miami and now that Petrino is Ron Mexico's next victim...

I agree that "Teflon" Dave was worse. Much worse. The ONLY reason that the Dolphins won as many games as they did while Dave was there was because of the foundation that Jimmy Johnson had laid for him. The longer Wannstedt stayed, the worse the Dolphins became. Ricky Williams' leaving the Dolphins doesn't serve as a very good excuse for not doing anything to improve the Dolphins. There's no reason the Dolphins' record should have dropped so drastically just because Ricky Williams was suspended.
