Adriano Galliani has stated that - this time - Ronaldo is finally reaching full fitness for AC Milan...

Adriano Galliani has spoken out once again regarding Ronaldo's battle to regain match fitness.

The AC Milan vice-president said of the Brazilian striker, "The club doctors have given me good news regarding Ronaldo.

"They say that he's getting back to full strength, along with Paolo Maldini, Serginho, Digao and Kakha Kaladze."

Of course, we have been here before, but now Galliani seems certain that, this time, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

"It's been hard having so many players out at one time, but they'll return soon," he smiled.

El Fenomeno has yet to play at at all this season after a series of medical mishaps, the former Real Madrid striker having returned to Brazil briefly in an attempt to shake off his injury woes.

Even if he does recover, some have called for Milan to augment their ailing strikeforce in the January transfer window, but Galliani is having none of it.

"The transfer window's closed and in January we'll benefit from having Alexandre Pato," he said, referring to the Brazilian wunderkind who will reach the age of eligibility to play in the New Year.

"I don't want to pressure him too much, but I've told everyone already that I think he's an amazing player."

"A goalkeeper? We're not signing a new one; we've got too many as it is," chuckled Galliani, brushing aside suggestions of a replacement for the embattled Nelson Dida.

"In addition to Dida, Zeljko Kalac, and Valerio Fiori we also have Marco Storari on loan at Levante, Fernando Coppola with Atalanta and Christian Abbiati at Atletico Madrid."

Ronaldo scored 7 Serie A goals in 14 appearances last season. Rumours of his recovery proved premature last time around; one wonders if he'll really be back in action this month - or even before New Year - at all.
