Oct 10 - Chris Bosh "tweaked" the knee at training camp in Treviso, Italy last week, and wore a brace for games against the Boston Celtics and Virtus Roma.

However, after consulting with team doctors, Paul Marks and Howard Petroff, as well as head athletic trainer Scott McCullough and assistant trainer Keith D'Amelio, the decision was made for Bosh to skip practice yesterday, and possibly today.

Team officials insist the sore knee is nothing serious, but will err on the side of caution, something Bosh hasn't always done. -- Toronto Sun

Since it is not to serious, I won't think much of it. I just hate how many injuries Bosh has had over his career. With his foot and knee, we can just hope that it doesn't get worse. I think Bosh needs to realize that he can't fight through everything. It is better to sit out some pre-season games then a playoff game.

QUOTE

Chris Bosh will not play in the Toronto Raptors' exhibition game against Real Madrid tonight. The all-star missed his second successive day of practice with an unspecified problem with his left knee.

"I'm sitting out right now until I heal 100 per cent and make sure I'm right for the season," Bosh said.

Bosh said his knee has been bothering him for about a week.

"I really don't know what caused it. It could be one of those chain reactions the trainers are always talking about," he said. "I'm just going to sit down for a moment and come up with an approach to handle it the right way."

For now he doesn't even have a name for what ails him.

"It's not tendinitis. For the moments it's just 'tweaked.' Tendinitis is long-term; I don't think this is long-term."
