Bucher was just on Sportscenter. He stated that the initial reaction out of the Lakers' camp right now is "bewilderment." According to Bucher, both sides had agreed to keep things in house after the (bleep) earlier this summer, and that Buss coming out with this is a complete surprise. He also made a really good point. All offseason, Mitch has been claiming that Kobe is untouchable. Now Buss comes out and contradicts that. Either Mitch was lying, or the front office really isn't on the same page. Funny thing is, if that is true, it really feeds into what Kobe was saying about the front office being a complete mess. The top two teams on Kobe's list are Dallas and Chicago. The two players Bucher said Dallas was dangling are Howard and Terry. He didn't mention anyone specific from Chicago.
Source: From Jeff at LG

Oh the drama. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, but I highly doubt Kobe is in a Laker uni next year, maybe even sooner.

Howard and Terry.C'mon the Lakers could do better than that we should try to push for better players on there team like Harris and Howard.Let the LA soap opera begin.

I don't see the Lakers trading Kobe to another western conference team. But think of a Kobe/Dirk/Harris up against Pierce/Garnett/Allen that'd be a good game.
