PreGame Previews (Sign-ups In progress) For a couple of years, on justbball, we pumped out pre-game previews a day or two before each game. We had about half a dozen people take turns doing a preview (based on a schedule I'd devise). The purpose of the previews was to have a thread for each game and give people a little something to think about before watching each game.
Should we have these previews here considering that there is an automatic system in place already reporting all Nets news?
If yes, I'll sign people up and start the scheduling process.
Edit: Sign up by post a message below.

Great idea.
We could figure out who wants to do it, and how often each person wants to/can do it.

Defintiely should have one. The automated game threads can provide more stats/score detials, and then another thread would give posters a place to discuss the games.

Maybe also have recaps, like celticballa32 does after each game. See it from a fans view, what happend etc.

One of the things you may want to do is localize it. I can cover the 4 total games between Sacramento and Golden State, since I can get additional radio coverage too. The meetings for those games are 12/18, 12/22 1/22 and 1/24. I will be in town those dates to get something up for those games. Just let me know.

To compare 2 different people's perspectives on games..?

Sirius covers pretty much every game, and they always have the home teams radio feed...so for the Nets road games I can try and provide some details.

Any one who wants to be on the preview team, sign up here (just say you want to sign up). The more people that sign up the less work for everyone in doing previews...Last year there were about 5 people, everyone did a preview about once a week.
I'll set out the first schedule in a couple of days.

I wanted to sticky this haha.
Seriously now, when he asked me that, I was like "huh?......oh wait, I can do that now" haha.

If you can't get anyone else, I wouldn't mind giving it a stab, if you don't mind me learning on the fly.

QUOTE (mynetsforlife)

If you can't get anyone else, I wouldn't mind giving it a stab, if you don't mind me learning on the fly.

Oh, don't worry about having to learn a lot. You don't have to put a whole lot into the previews: list the expected starters, the players you think will be the "x-factors" for both teams, and at least a sentence about what you think people should watch out for or what you think will happen (i.e. prediction).
I'll bring up some old links of examples of previews. There are three types:
1) Quick ones. Where you were pressed for time. Example 3) Over-done ones. where you had too much time on your hands.Example
We did this last year on the site that many of us came from. Unfortunately, when one of my favorite posters, a guy named Sergei Nabakov, posted a preview, he brought it to a screeching halt. I wonder what ever happened to him.

I'll help out, but don't expect long previews from me. I'm usually pressed for time, especially this year.
