QUOTE (NTC)

Also what you talking about on the new LB joint? That shit is H-O-T!! Definatley not on the level of 'The Listening', but a very solid release. I thought as a Justus League fan you would've been feeling the Illmind, Khrysis production, I thought they did a great job on the tracks they laid down. 9th's track was good too (featuring Lil' Wayne too, lol), really feeling Hi-Tek's also.Agreedthatthesubjectmatterwasalittlebit"heardthisbefore",buttheytriedsomenewthingsheretoo.Favouritetrackswouldbe"StepItUp","Dreams","ThatAintLove","TwoStepBlues","AfterTheParty".Veryhappywiththefinalproduct.

Yeah I mean I figure I'll give it a second attempt later on, but its not what I was expecting. Nothing really stands out from the pack to me :-(

Doggystyle, definatley, The Doggfather, I'm not so sure. I cant even name any of the songs off that album ("Snoops upside ya head"?)
lol at the massacre being in that group of albums.....Kanye is the best hip hop artist since his debut...I like his work way better than Lil Brothers for the most part. Phonte and Pooh are pretty good....but they don't seem great...Kanye isn't a great MC either...but he has the total package....he has more swagger...his production is on point...and he hits on different subjects...LB does that to, and I like them, but they don't have the replay value I get from Ye's music....
the listening isn't even their best album so how can it be the GOAT. Minstrel Show is better IMO
the album in my av>>>>any LB album I've heard

I'm surprised "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" isn't up here, seriously. while it's nowhere near the Greatest, it's probably the best 50 Cent album he's released.
Not saying I'm a 50 cent fan, 'cause I'm not, at all...just saying that's his best album.
and MF Doom is awesome. SUPA!

I've tried to get into MF Doom, but I dunno, he isnt that appealing to me. Yeah ok, he has the whole mask thing, but his voice is fucking boring, he has the charisma of a stroke victim.Henevermanagedtoholdmewithhissubjectmattereither.He'sagoodMC,dunno,Ijustdontseewhypeopleraveabouthimlikehe'sthegreatestthingsinceslicedbread.IquitelikeMFGrimmthough.As for Kanye, yeah hes one of the better mainstream artists out there, but you put him on a commercial (i.e Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, The Roots etc. commerical success, but not 'popular' artists), or underground level, and hes quite a weak MC.HeisafarbetterproducerthanheisMC.

He's too monotonous and there's so many references I don't get when it comes to his lyrics (this isn't really a bad thing, but its frustrating to not know the full meaning of his lyrics). I still listen to him every once in a while though and have a lot of respect for him as an artist. I definitely wouldn't say its his best, but I enjoyed "The Mouse and the Mask" the most (mostly because of the cartoonish beats and the Adult Swim references). MF Grimm's "American Hunger" deserves some recognition. A triple-disc that never really feels stale or tedious. I enjoyed that album a lot.
