Hinrich to guard the best guard regardless of positions? Bad idea. I doubt that lasts very long. Kirk Hinrich simply cannot guard the Tony Parkers, TJ Fords, and Chris Pauls. Ben Gordon is going to be back on the point guards in no time when Kirk starts struggling on them. Whats so hard to understand that Kirk is only All NBA caliber when guarding shooting guards?

The Luol Deng jockriding is getting a little excessive. Am I the only one who saw him fail miserably trying to be a first option in the third quarter? Dallas was basically pulling even with us, because Hinrich kept turning over the ball, they'd pass it to Deng, and he'd be able to create nothing. He's not a first option, whats so hard for people to understand? You can't dish him the ball and have him create. You can't run the offense through him. He can definitely score, but scoring off other people creating for you doesn't make you a first option. Deng had all his points right away in the game...if he can be that player that jumps off to that early start, like Eddy Curry a few years ago, thats good. But that still doesn't make you the first option. Why are people so eager to bestow Luol Deng as the MVP, #1 option? Why not let him go out and prove he is that (which he has yet to truly do). People are so apprehensive about Gordon being our #1 option, yet he did a magnificent job as the #1 option. Deng is a great complementry player to Gordon, and a great #2 option, allstar level #2 option...but one thing Deng is not is a #1 option.

Our defense was very good. So many talented bigs. First time since Curry/Chandler/Davis that I feel we have competent bigs. I think Thomas/Noah/Gray = Curry/Chandler at this point....but I think Antonio Davis was better than what the current Ben Wallace is. Our defense is just going to be jacked up though with Gray/Noah/Tyrus, I could see us holding teams to 90 PPG about....putting us right there with the 2000 Pistons when Big Ben was there.

Can't wait to see this team. Our starters/bench (the real bench of Gray/Noah/Duhon/Nocioni) were beating Milwaukee pretty good, and holding them down in scoring. The scrub bench (Blair, Homan, Barrett...etc.) lost that game at the end. We beat the Mavericks, with our starters outplaying their starters (though very slightly), and our bench (real bench) kicking their benches ass (all though Barrea was just dominating Hinrich/Duhon/Curry...good for him). You have to be very excited for this season, as a Bulls fan, considering we haven't even introduced Ben Gordon into it with the new guys. Our offensive potency with Gordon in place of Gardner is going to be amazing (although I hope we keep Gardner as our 15th man...I'd even cut JamesOn Curry to keep him).
