Why do people senselessly bash Nickelback all the time? I don't get it. They make good songs, good videos, and Chad Kroeger has one of the best voices in the industry, if not the best currently. Hearing them on the radio all the time at work, and when I forget my Ipod in the car is pretty annoying.</p> I find them just as annoying as any other average overplayed pop/rock/rap artist/band.</p>
They're generic and boring, but being in Canada, they get hyped up like they're geniuses or something.</p>
What's with all the love for these overhyped Canadian products? There's better music coming from up here.</p>
I remember when I first heard them, I thought "This isn't too bad." It wass just very generic rock...it's been done before and there are tons of other bands who do/could do the same thing. Nothing special, but it's tolerable...wouldn't ever make an effort to listen to it, but if it came on the radio then whatever. You hear the voice and you know it's them, but that has nothing to do with his voice being good.</p> But thehate comes from when their next however many singles come out, and they all sounded exactly the same*, and MTV/VH1/any media outlet starts talking about how great they are.</p> The music is boring, the lyrics are horrible (that photograph song makes me ill), and there is nothing interesting about what they do. Get together a group of guys with marginal musical talent, and they could churn out the same mediocre song over and over again.</p> </p> *I'll try and find it later if no one has by then, but there is a file out there were some radiostation played two of their songs at the same time and they matched up exactly. Both started with the same quieter guitar part...the lyrics came in at the same time...had the same crappy "dun dun dun dun dun" build up to the chorus...went back to the verse at the exact same time. They were identical songs, just in a different key and each about some different stupid topic.</p>
Some of their stuff isn't too bad. I never really liked them before I met them. After that I realized their just a couple of hardworking hicks in a band, what's not to like?</p> Avril, on the other hand is the queen of dirtbags.</p>
I like to listen to Nickelback once in a while there OK and so is there music I don't hate them nor do I love them but there music is decent.</p>

Nickelback only have one song, they just rewrite it constantly. The chord progressions, structure and melodies all resemble each other with an amazing likeness...</p>
I once heard an edit somebody made of a Nickelback song where he just laid two of their hit singles on top of each other, and it sounded like it could've been a duet. It was nuts. Every beat, chord change, lyrical hit, it all flowed with exactly the same consistency. It's boring at its best, and repetitive at that.</p>
