I wouldn't say it's unfair, it's just giving people the content they want. In this example: Hate on the PS3 because it launched with a high price point and the price is still high for some people.

The 360 has a ton more positives than that, to list some.</p> 1. Large game library</p> 2.Halo 3 and Bioshock will NEVER be PS3 games (those two games alone are enough reason to buy the system)</p> 3. A lot of games run smoother on it than the PS3 (e.g. EA Sports games run at 60fps on it, 30fps on PS3)</p> 4. Best controller ever</p> 5. XBox Live</p> Those are just SOME of the positives I can think of. And just a though, mine has yet to breakdown really. It stopped working for a day but worked again after that. The only reason they overheat now is because people are retarded and don't give them enough ventilation, cause quite frankly, any system not given proper ventilation will overheat.</p> And how can you say the PS3 has pretty much no negatives. The game library on it is TRASH. EA games run way slower on it than the 360. They system still overheats, despite what you may think. To me, no rumble in the controllers is a pretty big turn off as well, but that could be soley my opinion. My other issue with the PS3 is it's hardware. Developers have a hell of a time making games for it BECAUSE of the Blu-ray. Blu-ray is a lot harder to develop games on than the regular HD-DVD hardware the 360 uses, and that's a big reason why no good games are on it (aside from a few) and also why some titles run better on the 360. To me, what's the point of using hardware you don't know how to make games for, it's pointless. The same goes with the processors. The thing has what, 6 processors in it, and at the moment, they only use one. For the love god, if you have that much power in there, use it to make some worthwhile games.</p> You also have to look at the price. Honestly, it's not a bad price for the system. I'll say the Blu-ray alone makes it worth the money almost. Almost being the key word. My thing with the PS3 right now is that, sure, it may be the TECHNICAL superior system. It has more horsepower than the 360 and I'd be a liar if I tried to deny that. But quite honestly, the lack of games make it useless. Sure, MGS4 is out soon and Heavenly Sword was a recent release. But look at like this. What great games are coming out on it that I can't get for something else. Guitar Hero 3....that's on all systems. Rock Band...same deal. Devil May Cry 4...360 title as well. Assassins Creed....that'll be on the 360. The only great game coming out on it is MGS4, everything else, I can still get on my 360. And at the moment, with the 360 dropping in price and already having a mass amount of great games, I find no reason to blow another $400-500 on a PS3.</p>
I think the only reason that the 360 has a better library of games is because of the fact that it came out a year early, thus having an extra year to work on specifically on that platform. EA had an extra year to fix up some of the things for Madden than they did for PS3 which was already hard because of the hardware was really complicated on the PS3 because of all of the stuff inside that tank. Sure the 360 has AAA games like Bioshock and Halo 3 (which should be considered a AAA+) but look at some of the games that are worthy like Resistance: Fall of Man, Warhawk, and Heavenly Sword. Those are pretty good, or at least I've heard. Nowadays, the reason the 360 is having amazing sales is because of Halo 3. You will hear phrases like "360 is the Halo Box" or "The main reason to buy it." etc. But the glaring weakness of the 360 is the RROD (Red Rings Of Death) which is common for about 20% of the consoles just like the price point is for the PS3. Also, Xbox Live is amazing compared to the PSN but it comes at a price, which I'm not sure about. The PS3 is also prepared for the HD Era where soon households will have an HDTV and that is why they demand alot and plus its games are Blu Ray discs which has a larger capacity than the others which allows more content and would make developers want to work on it and the PS3 hasn't been pushed to its limits in terms of graphics, gameplay (regarding motion control SIXAXIS), and online capabilities. I keep hearing about this HOME but I don't get what's really great about it. The 360 does have a shorter life span than the PS3 and I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft release another console when PS3 begins to dominate again.</p> </p> It really sucks when I think about it since I own a Wii and it only supports 480p which is considered EDTV... ppl need to realize sony screwed up when they launched an expensive console with no games and on top of that, Sony wanted to impose on their consumers a movie format which is fairly new and not as supported as DVD. I planned on getting one, but when I heard the price was 599$ at launch, I really felt dissapointed with sony for doing that, so I purchased the middle system, the 360. The 360, hasnt broken down on me after a year and has so far produced more andbetter quality games than PS3. I read on some article that the PS3 is a pain in the @ss to develop for, and that many dont even wanna touch it, becuase of its intricate cell processor and GPU. So far for me, the best investment I've made in gaming is the 360, no doubt, maybe 2008 it will be sonys year.</p>

Yep, I mean currently with the games out there available for us, the 360 is a much better choice, money wise and for game library wise. In a year who knows after MGS4 and GT5 come out, and maybe some other games, and another price drop, then it could be a good choice. But by then I'm sure the 360 will have even more exclusive games and for that reason it will be hard to switch to the ps3. (unless you really want one of those two games, the mgs4 and gt5)</p> And remember that most games that are coming out right now that are for both consoles, the games for the 360 are coming at least a week earlier (if not more) lol. Take that ps3 fans. </p>
