Chris Webber, Anderson Varejao, Gary Payton, and Sasha Pavlovic all remain without a contract 2 weeks before the NBA season begins. Gary Payton was supposed to retire after this past season but has said he wants to play one more season and can still contribute at the end of a rotation. Varejao/Pavlovic are both players who can help any team in the NBA out. Cleveland is clearly not willing to dish out money for these two players. Despite them being restricted, some other team should show some interest in them. As for Webber, he's gotten offers from Detroit, Dallas, Orlando, and a European squad yet there's been no decision from him yet. Something has to happen soon as all of these players have already missed training camp which will slow them down in the early portion of the season.</p>
