An NBA 2K8 question

Evening Net's fans. Max here Trouserless.</p>

A question. Who should i sign in NBA to better my squad. I'm doing quite well. Top of y Division and Kicking ass but i'd like to Bolster my squad,</p>

I've gone straight to the nets forum as i don't want people doing pointless posts e.g. 'Nets Suck'.</p>

If you're using the Nets squad be prepared to loose Nachbar, Magloire and Krstic because entering the off-season, they do not have enough money to sign any of them.</p>

You definetly need a big man so try and explore some trade options between Carter and RJ. There are no good FA's that would really be a big help so trade is your best option.</p>

If you want to run and score on the break trade Carter for AK47 and play him at 4. If you want to be a halfcourt team trade RJ and Krstic for a big man, I've been looking to trade RJ in my own game but its pretty hard without making the trade look unrealistic.</p>

well knowing that i proberly couldnt afford Krstic,Mag and Boki next year i made a couple of trades to prepare myself. My first trade which will end up short term is Wright and 1st round pick to Denver for JR Smith and a 2nd rounder. Later on i traded Collins,Mag and Allen and a 2nd rounder for K-Mart and 3 1st round draft picks. Prior to this i had put RJ on the block along with Jumiaine Jones, didnt really get andy good offers (Peja or Hughes for RJ) (Robert Swift or Diop for Jones) then traded away Boki (avg 10pts for the 1st month off the bench), Jones and a 1st rounder to the Bucks for Bogut and Bell. Then turned around and traded Bell and a 2nd rounder to the Warriors for a 1st rounder. Also in the middle of this i signed Alan Henderson to the vets min. Krstic is now on the block. Smith and Nachbar was huge for me as Carter went down with an injury in the 3rd game and was out for 24 days.</p>

i have 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder for this offseason with 2 first rounders for next year as well</p>

current lineup consists of (Starters) Kidd,Carter,Jefferson,Martin,Bogut</p>

(Bench) MWill, Armstrong, JR Smith, Henderson, SWill, Boone,Krstic</p>

currently trying to move Krstic for a wingman.Smith is doing great for me though avg 15pts a game...which is just under Jefferson (16) and more than Carter (14) but Carter has actually on played in 3 1/2 games now.</p>

 

Get compensation for Krstic. Nao.</p>

The way I plan on playing is keeping the roster where its at, except with listing Wright, Collins, and scrubs on the trade block. Now that we have Sean I might not trade for KMart. Worse comes to worse when its time to re-sign your players you can always edit their stats before you negotiate and make them terrible, and then sign them for min-2million dollar contracts, and then just fix their stats afterwards. Worked in 2k7 :-D</p>

If you're playing more SIM, I would trade Boki + Collins + (Magloire or Krstic) for a bigmen who's got a lot of remaining years on their contract. Just make sure you sign or trade for a guy who can hit a jumpshot. Allan Ray is available in the game, for instance.</p>

Haha. I just start with Kidd, Carter and Jefferson in FA and sign them for 5 mil.</p>

 

Haha I wasn't sure if I was the only one who cheesed like that. Once I started an associated and made the big 3 so bad that they could be signed to 5 year, decreasing, 480k contracts. They still had the same pull with merchandising sales though. I must have had like 120 million in cash.</p>
