Monday's practice recently ended and Ben Gordon, Thabo Sefolosha and Adrian Griffin are out for Tuesday's home exhibition against the Wizards. Joe Smith practiced and will make his Bulls debut.

The Gordon injury is intriguing because when it happened a week ago Monday, we were told it was a minor roll of his left ankle. Management even left open the possibility he would play last Tuesday against the Bucks in La Crosse, Wis.

Then Gordon practiced Thursday and said afterward he was certain he would play in Friday's home exhibition opener against the Mavericks. That didn't happen when Gordon experienced pain during last Friday's morning shootaround. He hasn't practiced since.

It's early enough in the preseason that this isn't a huge concern yet. But for a team that has been talking about how smoothly training camp has gone because of the familiarity between returning players, it'd be nice to get those players on the court together soon.

Interesting....have to imagine he is pushing for it to get done before the deadline. Like trying to say, give me your final contract offer now, no use playing this pretend cat and mouse game and dragging this out to the deadline.
