yaAccording to this article, trading Michael Vick would cost the Falcons 16 million dollars against the salary cap. That seems pretty cut and dry to me. There was one sentence that made me laugh outloud. Nor would it make sense for the Falcons to let Vick go after arguably his best passing season, and without seeing how he functioned under Petrino or how backup Matt Schaub fit into the scheme. His best passing season. Wow, that really speaks volumes, doesn't it? Six years into his career, Ronnie Mexico threw for an average of 154.6 yards a game for a QB rating of 75.7. The fact that this is his best passing season after six years is the most glaring reason that the Falcons should be getting rid of this guy. Michael Vick will NEVER be an adequate passer. He might have a couple of outstanding games here and there, but he can't get the job done. Even broken clocks are right twice a day. Don't try to defend him by saying he wins games because the Falcons haven't made the playoffs in two years. The fact is that the Falcons are screwed where Michael Vick is concerned. I'd hate to figure out how much money the Falcons are paying Vick per completed pass. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AtwO...=yhoo&type=lgns
