<h3>Jokinen eyes franchise points record as Panthers face Canadiens</h3>

MONTREAL (Ticker) -- Olli Jokinen will take aim at the recordbooks, as well as try and help the Florida Panthers to a thirdstraight win when they visit the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.

Jokinen is one point away from passing Scott Mellanby asFlorida's all-time points leader with 355.


The 10-year veteran has scored two goals and recorded twoassists in the past two games, helping the Panthers rebound froman 0-3-0 start. Jokinen, who has spent seven seasons inFlorida, tied the record with a goal and two assists inSaturday's 6-4 win over Tampa Bay.


Jokinen's recent surge has been a welcome sight for Florida,which had scored just three goals in its first four games.

Now he will try and break the record against Montreal goaltenderCristobal Huet, who has a 2.61 goals-against average in threegames this season.


As for the Canadiens, they are coming off their first regulationloss, a 3-1 setback to Carolina in which they were outshot 30-8through the first two periods.


Huet stopped 35 shots in the loss, but allowed two power-playgoals, contributing to the Canadiens horrible 77.3 penalty killpercentage.


Things will not be any easier against Florida, considering theCanadiens lost three of the four meetings last season and are1-3-7 against the Panthers since 2003-2004.
