Oct 16 - Without the knowledge of agent Dan Fegan, GM Danny Ferry traveled to Brazil and met with his 6-10 backup center/macho forward to promote management's perspective, and, perhaps cut out the hardcore middle man. Evidently the backdoor play backfired.

Indications are Anderson Varejao is remaining loyal to Fegan and adhering to his demand. Nonetheless it was a calculated risk worth taking. -- New York Post

hahaha i love it. as of now the cavs are not going to be a good team. they did nothing to improve themselves and so far theyve done a lot to weaken themselves. i dont see them living up to how they played last year especially with a lot of other eastern teams improving their team. i dont see how some people view them as a team to beat in the east. i know they have lebron and they have teh same crew and now gibson is like a god, but its tough for teams to try to repeat their type of success with the same cast of characters. the only addition i can see them really having is if larry hughes decides to earn his money, outside of that they dont scare me. they didnt scare me last year and they sure as hell dont now w/o anderson and sasha
