He says it was one of the proudest moments of his career.</p> Brazil had come under heavy criticism after their disappointing World Cup 2006 campaign and the midfielder believes winning the trophy was an excellent riposte to that tournament.</p> "It was fantastic for me,” he told Arsenal TV Online. “The proudest moment for me because it was the first time I was captain of my country and we won a big competition.</p> “No one expected us to win it but we just regrouped as players, staff and manager and we didn’t care about people outside that criticised us. That made the difference."</p>
