WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Texas coach Mack Brown certainly ispleased to be facing Baylor this weekend.


One week after an emphatic victory ended a four-game Big 12Conference losing streak, Brown's 19th-ranked Longhorns try tocontinue their domination of intrastate foe Baylor on Saturday.

Texas (5-2, 1-2 Big 12 South) dropped its final two conferencegames last year and its first two this season before routingIowa State in Ames last Saturday, 56-3. Colt McCoy threw for 298yards and four touchdowns for the Longhorns in the romp.

The Longhorns lead the all-time series against Baylor, 70-22-4,and crushed the Bears in Austin last year, 63-31.


Texas has won nine straight over Baylor, including four straightin Waco, where it has outscored the Bears by a whopping 229-10in that span. In fact, Baylor has been held scoreless over thelast 10 quarters at home by Texas.


Baylor (3-4, 0-3 South) has dropped its last three games, all inBig 12 play, by at least 20 points. Last week, the Bears werecrushed by host Kansas, 58-10.


Blake Szymanski was limited to 119 yards in the air and wasintercepted three times in the blowout.
