One glaring point made in this article is that the Dolphins have no players on their rosters from the four drafts that occured from 2000 - 2003. Do we really need an analyst to tell us the problem with those drafts? I can sum it up in two words. Teflon Dave.
It seems to me that the Dolphins biggest problem at the moment is that the defense sucks. I am baffled as to how this defense, that was pretty good last year, got so bad so quickly. The shame is that the offense isn't playing that bad. Ronnie Brown is clearly the Dolphins MVP at the moment and Cleo Lemon has been playing fine. If Dom Capers can't figure out how to fix this defense, then who can?
http://www.miamiherald.com/616/story/275337.html

We are not getting any pass rush whatsoever. I think losing Kevin Carter set us back more than people think. They are constantly doubling JT, but no one else is stepping up.

I agree that keeping Holliday & letting Carter go was a bad move.
Per the phins only site I frequent, Alot of the problems on D are the fault of Capers. Appearantly, DC has been playing Porter as a Hands down DE or covering the TE. Further, their is alot of confusion in the secondary and the front 7 is overcompensating. Further, the DL & LB's a re starting to get frustrated w/ the DB's. Also, they have not been moving JT around like last yr.
As for JT, The Rams are always in need of defensive help. Mueller has worked w/ Haslett & Linehan. If they could squeeze a 2nd out of ST L then I say do it.
