Ronnie Brown is running like a mad bull. Hes down a bit in weight and he appears to be twice as quick as in previous seasons but he still runs like a dump truck invited to the Dodge Neon Demolition Derby Invitational. Hesjust behindpace to become the 2nd RB in league history to eclipse 2400 yards from scrimmage(yeah, thats prime Marshall Faulk territoty). His pace translates to 1400+ rushing and90 catches for 900+recieving. And he didnt play much during week 1. He does finally look like the 6'1'' 230lbs beast that ran 4.4 at the combine and got himself drafted #2 overall. If he continues on this tear, he should buy Cam Cameron a house. Its Cam's offense that helped LaDainian Tomlinson become a star and it was Cam that challenged Brown during the offseason, going as far as making him return kicks.

He's had a great start so far.. but the party is over. The schedule is much more difficult from here on out. Them trading away Chambers leaves Brown as the only offensive weapon on the team, and defenses will key on him. The dolphins are sunk, as much as they wont say it .. they're in rebuilding mode. If he can continue to succede the rest of the year it will be amazing.

Edit: Sorry, should have kept on the "something positive" theme. Cleo Lemon has looked good! =)

I do think that there will up and down weeks. The offensive line is very young and defenses will start keying on Brown to make the Dolphins QB beat them in the air. Will that QB be Lemon for the rest of the season or will they give Beck a chance to play? I don't know, but I feel good about both QBs and think they can make some plays when called upon. I'm more worried about the defense showing up. The Dolphins will need to draft heavy on defense next year. They need to pick up some CBs, DTs and LBs. Zach Thomas is clearly declining. Joey Porter hasn't done crap except run his mouth. I think Jason Taylor still has some good seasons in him, but he can't carry the burden alone. Still, I'm impressed with what I'm seeing with Ronnie Brown this year.

Yeah, I just wish Ronnie would have done this well last year when I picked him ahead of SJAX at 1.05.
